I just found this AI image on the Rotary Club of Cessnock site. It was from our Food Safety Supervisors Course that they organised; I so much wanted to lick that spoon, but Geoff told me I would fail.

What a night at Rotary Club of East Maitland!

With President Christopher wrapping up his incredible year, President Elect Glenda Briggs took the reins and got us all fired up about the year ahead.

Our Youth Exchange student Lari delivered her final report — and what a year it’s been! From Brazil to Maitland, she’s thrown herself into everything. We’ve loved every minute with you, Lari, and we’re going to miss you so much 💙💛

District Foundation Chair Brian Morgan kept the celebrations going, presenting Centurion pins and End Polio Now recognitions to our members. Amazing effort from everyone supporting the Rotary Foundation!

Maitland HealthStays had some exciting updates from Trevor Lynch as the ball is rolling and action on the site begins.

We finished the night sharing what we love most about Rotary and our club. The answer? Fellowship, friendship, and a real passion for making a difference. Plus we mapped out some exciting priorities for next year.

Great clubs don’t just happen — they’re built on planning, enthusiasm, and celebrating wins together. And we’ve got plenty to celebrate!

Bring on another year of impact

The newly chartered North Lake Mac Rotary Club was well supported yesterday by Rotary Clubs from around the district. What a great day of celebration and witnessing the chartering of a new club.

Our own Brian Coffey was the MC for the ceremony. Brian and Carol Coffey were thanked for their amazing support in guiding the new club forward. District 9660 Foundation Chair, Brian Morgan, presented Craig Henningham with his Foundation Centurion Badge and Sue Morgan presented the club with a cash box. Our club was well represented!

The Rotary Club of East Maitland wishes North Lake Mac a successful future with lots of inter club connections. We look forward to working beside you as we create lasting impact.

Rotary meetings and activities are not just all about business, fund raising and community service. Fun and fellowship are also important components. Last night's meeting exemplified this with a Games Night planned, perfect for a winter's night. A minimum of notices and 'business' (other than to mention the successful and unanimous passing, by Maitland City Councillors, of the motion to approve the DA for the Maitland HealthStays project!)
