Let's try again for SUNDAY JUNE 14 for this event!
Boots on the Ground at Dungog Common 🌿
Come along and help shape and maintain the beautiful Girriwa Loop Walking Track at Dungog Common Reserve.
By simply walking the track together, we’ll help define and preserve the pathway — proving that the more boots on the ground, the better the track becomes! This is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, connect with the community, and lend a hand in caring for one of Dungog’s special natural spaces.
This joint community project is proudly supported by Dungog Walkers, Common Landcare Group, and the Dungog and Surrounds Youth Committee.
📍 When: Sunday 14 May, commencing 8:30am
📍 Where: Dungog Common Main Entrance
⏰ Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours
🎒 What to bring:
• Water bottle
• Snack
• Optional: secateurs and gardening gloves
🌭 After the walk, enjoy a sausage sizzle and refreshments supplied by Dungog Walkers.
Bring your walking shoes, your community spirit, and help keep the tracks of Dungog thriving!
RSVP by Thursday June 11 for catering purposes

On Sunday 21 June at 2.00pm, the Royal Hotel Dungog and Performing Artists of Dungog present Michael Beaumont: 'I'll bet you think this song is about you...'
Michael brings a selection of songs, stories and tunes reflecting life in Dungog. His music is quiet and easy to decipher while slowly disrupting your emotions.

All of the songs were written in the last 24 months here in Dungog, you may never be able to say who or what each one is about, but you'll immediately recognise the scenarios. Last year's show was standing room only. This time he's joined by Peter Smith on electric guitar.

We'll be open for drinks and light meals on the afternoon of the 21st to coincide with the gig.

We invite members and local children photographers to put this CWA state-wide competition on their projects list. Our branch Cultural Officer is Julie Fitzgerald ([email protected]). Schools and other parties are encouraged to hold events with these themes.
