What a wonderful morning we had at parkrun today, so mild and lovely for this time of the year.

Today we welcomed 299 finishers across the line, including 20 participants celebrating hard fought, new PBs. Congratulations to each of you on your fantastic achievement and the hard work that helped you reach that new personal best.

We also had some special milestones to celebrate. Congratulations to one participant reaching their 400th parkrun, an incredible achievement and testament to their dedication, as well as a 50th parkrun and we also have to recognise our amazing volunteers, with one celebrating their 50th volunteer milestone and another reaching their 20th volunteer milestone. Thank you for your continued commitment and support of our parkrun community.

A huge thank you to all of our incredible and dedicated volunteers who continue to give their time to make the event possible. Your enthusiasm, support and friendly faces are what keep parkrun running each week.

Whether you ran, jogged, walked, volunteered, cheered, spectated, or simply came along for a coffee and a chat afterwards, thank you for being part of another fantastic morning. Every finish is an achievement worth celebrating.

See you all next Saturday for more smiles, encouragement and parkrun magic!

For our “National Volunteers Week – Your Year to Volunteer” celebration we welcomed 298 parkrunners and 16 amazing volunteers to our beautiful course on Wurundjeri land.

We’d love to thank volunteers throughout our community, along with those that volunteered today AND our long-term volunteers. Check out the photo for the latter group of champions who have prioritised volunteering 25 or more times, that means sacrificing their own opportunity to get a personal best (PB) or hang out with friends for the equivalent of 6 months or more.

A special congratulations to our two 200th milestone runners. Welcome to 12 first timers and tourists, including those from Mernda and Highlands (two of whom volunteered!) We seek volunteers ahead of time (save us the hassle of the urgent mid-week posts) and take volunteers from anywhere 😊so please check out our roster www.parkrun.com.au/diamondcreek/futureroster/ and email [email protected]

Thanks today go to Murray, Gavan and Simon in the funnel, Michael, Karen and Martine on barcode scanning, Fiona, Bronwyn, Stacy, Flynn, Mabel and Jackie out on the track, Thomas and Donna (and her gorgeous 9 week old baby Frankie) on token sorting, Gie on photos and Kellie as Run Director. We look forward to Gie's photos later today.

We have pacers on our course next week; a chance to strive for that illusive PB or to enjoy our environment and community. You do you!
