On the back of a Shield Premiership, super excited to announce that returning again for the upcoming 2026/27 season is our 1st XI Captain Matthew Chrimes!

Matty has played for Eltham since his junior days and we are excited to see his outstanding skills on the field again this year. ❤️🖤🏏

Congratulations to Seb Oakley on being added as a Life Member of Eltham Cricket Club!

Seb’s love for the Panthers commenced in Season 2003/04 in Under 14’s. A ONE Club player with roles across the Club since 2010, that ensured we were looking to strategically grow.

2010 – 2013: General Committee
2013 – 2016: Secretary
2016 – 2019: Club President
2020 – 2025: Junior Coordinator

And a 2021/2022 D Grade Premiership Player!

In Seb’s time as Club President, the Club was not in a fantastic position lacking a Junior Program and only 2 Senior Teams on the field. Seb worked tirelessly in turning the Eltham Cricket Club into place for families and those wanting to enjoy their cricket. This led Seb to be the driving force in the Junior Program that it is today and was the leader in establishing a Junior Girl’s Program which was part of the inaugural DVCA Girls League.

As President, Seb worked with the local council to upgrade the facilities which included the clubrooms and pitch.

All the above was done, whilst Seb also played and looked to start his career outside of cricket, also at the detriment to Seb’s senior cricket career. Seb often put the club first & would often play in the lower grades of cricket and making late night calls to get a team on the field to increase the success of the Senior Club.

A true Panther. And one that we love. Congrats Seb – so well deserved. ❤️🖤🏏

We are very excited to announce Shaun Lorenzini will be taking on the role of assistant coach for our upcoming 2026/27 season! An Eltham CC junior Premiership player, an ECA Captain, coach and dual Premiership player. Lora returned to ECC to play with the VETS a few seasons ago, now a current senior player and very important sponsor, we can’t wait to see what the dynamic duo can do! Congrats Lora! ❤️🖤🏏
