Visit Coonamble A beautiful region to visit... Coonamble, Gulargambone & Quambone. The Coonamble Shire has a total population of 4030 (ABS 2011 Census).

The township of Coonamble has a population of just under 3000 people. There are two villages in the Shire, Gulargambone, with a population of around 500 people and Quambone, with around 100. Residents of rural properties make up approximately one third of the district population. Coonamble is a great central location to explore the region’s natural attractions. Our people are very friendly with lots of local characters to meet.

Getting ready for Cowchillah? Here’s everything you need to know before you hit the Main Street!

⏰ Event starts: 6PM

📍 Main Entrance: Aberford Street / Castlereagh Street

🎟️ Tickets required for entry: Entry is FREE, but you’ll need a ticket to get through the gates. Save time on arrival and grab yours now!

🎸 3 stages, 1 big night: Catch the action across Main Street (Tooloon Street end), Plaza Theatre and Monterey.

🍔 Hungry? Multiple food vendors will be serving up plenty of options throughout Main Street.

🪑 Bring a chair: Folding chairs are welcome, so find a spot and settle in for the night.

👂 Little ears: Ear protection is recommended for young children, especially around the stages.

🍻 No BYO alcohol: Cowchillah is a licensed event, with bar facilities available on site.

🚭 Smoke & v**e free: Let’s keep Cowchillah fun, healthy and enjoyable for everyone.

🚻 Public toilets: Available on Skillmans Lane.

🚌 Courtesy bus: A courtesy bus will be running throughout the night to help you get around town.

COMING TO COWCHILLAH AND NEED SOMEWHERE TO CAMP?

Bringing the van, caravan or camping gear? We’ve got you covered.

For Cowchillah Coonamble weekend, from Saturday 3 October, we’re extending the space at the Coonamble Showground RV campsite to make room for more festival-goers.

Find us via the Rodeo entrance, choose your spot and set up camp.

A few things to know:

🔌 No power available
🚽 Bathroom facilities available
🏕 Plenty of space to set up

And when you’re ready to head into the Main Street, the courtesy bus will be cruising around town to help get you where you need to go.

So pack the van, bring your mates and make a weekend of it.
