Due to community commitments, our regular monthly meeting for September will now be held 5.30pm Tuesday, 8 September 2026 at the CWA Hall.

What an amazing day with Ana Robson at Scout Artspace on Sunday.

Thanks to Outback Arts and the Country Arts Support Program (CASP) grants, Coonamble CWA Evening Branch was able to offer our community's amazing volunteers a watercolour workshop for peanuts!

We had a great morning learning how watercolour paints interact with paper and water, how to use the brushes to best effect and with Ana's help, the simplicity of breaking down the shapes and techniques of painting to produce some truly amazing works, making everyone so happy with what they produced.

We still have some places left on Tuesday evening, so reach out if you'd like to have a crack!!

Shout out to Amanda Colwell, our amazing President for supplying some very delicious morning tea and lunch, Ana for endless patience and to Cants for hooking us up with discounted art supplies. Thanks to these guys we all walked away with a goody bag of art supplies to help us decompress and take time for ourselves. Remember volunteers: care for the carer! Don't forget to look after yourself while caring for others!

Fresh from local backyards and now on the shelves at Coonamble Cottage Industries!

A lovely little batch of homemade marmalades, made with beautiful citrus generously donated from gardens around Coonamble:

If you volunteer, lend a hand in your community, or belong to a local service or community group, we’d love you to join us for a little time out to create, connect and have some fun.

No meetings, no jobs to do and absolutely no experience needed; just a tiny $10 contribution to enjoy a relaxed creative workshop, good company, some lovely nibbles and time with others who know what it means to give back to their community.

See the creative side of our shire shine in our annual Pavilion displays. With many homegrown favourites from delicious family recipes and preserves right through to photography, knitting, crochet, patchwork and quilting to keep you warm! There is something for everyone!

Find help, inspiration and emotional support from other parents helping with kids entries for the Coonamble Show…
THIS Sunday!!

WHAT DO I NEED… gold coins to cover your entries, everything else will be provided to produce an entry. Of course if you have some vegetables to use up or a unique item to incorporate on your potato or biscuit feel free to bring it along.

🎨🌽🐦 Calling all young creators! 🐦🌽🎨

Come along and get creative for the Junior Pavilion at the Coonamble Show!

Join CWA for a fun morning of crafting and creating entries for this year’s show schedule. Children can decorate a biscuit, unleash their imagination on a potato, or create an animal or bird from fruit and vegetables.

✨ Feel free to BYO fruit, vegetables, or any decorative items your child would especially like to incorporate - however, we will supply everything needed to complete an entry.

🌸🍰 If children would also like to work on other entries for the Junior Flower or Cooking schedules, they are very welcome to bring those along as well.

Gold coin donation to help cover entry costs. Entry forms supplied on the day.

Bakers of Coonamble… start your ovens!

To celebrate the CWA Coonamble Evening Branch’s 25th Birthday, we’re donating a special $250 prize for the cookery exhibit declared “Best in Show” by the judge on the day.

And here’s the exciting part… it could be absolutely anything.

A perfectly light scone.
An unforgettable ANZAC biscuit.
A flawless sponge.
Or a beautifully crafted ASC fruit cake that stops the judge in her tracks.

This year, we want to make choosing the winner nearly impossible, so let’s fill the pavilion with the very best baking Coonamble has to offer!

All fresh cookery entries to be presented at the pavilion before 10am on Tuesday 26th May.
