Sometimes you know you need help, but you don’t know where to start.
Finding the right support can be confusing — especially when you’re already dealing with a lot.
At the SAFE Centre, you’re welcome to come in and have a chat with us. You don’t need to know what service you need or who you should call. We can listen to what’s going on, help you work out what support might be available, and connect you with local services that can help.
Sometimes we might be able to provide the practical help you need right here. Other times, we can help point you in the right direction.
You don’t have to figure out where to start on your own.

Come down to the SAFE Centre, grab a coffee and something to eat, and let the kids burn off some energy in our indoor play area!
Our Play Café is a relaxed, affordable place to catch up with a friend, enjoy a coffee, or just sit down for a bit while the kids play.
$6 entry per child

When you visit our café, you're doing more than supporting a local community space.
Because we're volunteer-run, every purchase helps fund the work of the SAFE Centre—including programs that strengthen families and help prevent family and domestic violence.
So whether you stop by for a coffee, lunch, or a play session with the kids, you're helping build a community where people know they're not alone.
Thank you for helping us connect people to hope, help and community.
We're open Mon, Tues and Fri, 9am-2pm. $6 entry for kids to the playground.

GLOBAL WEEK OF PRAYER | 6–13 SEPTEMBER
This September, Christies Beach Baptist Church and the SAFE Centre are joining with people around the world for the 24-7 Prayer Global Week of Prayer.
Throughout the week, our prayer room will be open whenever the SAFE Centre/church building is open (9-2 Mon, Tues, Fri, plus some other times). There will be a range of simple, interactive prayer activities to help you pray for yourself, our local community, Australia and the wider world.
We’d love our broader community to be part of it too. You’re welcome to drop in and use the prayer room, or you can sign up for a time to pray as part of our week-long prayer chain.

Need a little help with groceries?
We offer food assistance to anyone who needs it. There’s no need to show a Centrelink card or provide evidence that you’re eligible.
If things are a bit tight and you need some help with food, come in and see us. We can put together a food parcel with enough groceries to help cover around two days.

BIG class. BIG energy. BIG Monday vibes!

Our Monday Kangatraining crew brought it today! A big group of mums, plenty of catching up and connecting, lots of laughs… and some seriously sweaty new choreos! 💪🏼💃

New songs, new steps and new combinations meant our brains had to work just as hard as our bodies today 😂 But this crew absolutely smashed it! 💪🏼

There’s something pretty special about watching a room full of mums moving together, encouraging each other, having a laugh and getting that much-needed time to focus on themselves.

We might come for the workout, but we stay for the friendships, the laughs and the feeling of leaving class with a little more energy than we arrived with 💕
