🌈 This Thursday is GiveOUT Day (that's tomorrow)!

The Q***r Society is dedicated to connecting you with your community. We build social initiatives from the ground up with the people who want and need them. All of our programs and events are for the LGBTQIA+ community, by the LGBTQIA+ community.

Besides attending our programs - like MUD, Roll Proud, The Garden Society, Q***r Yarn, and Le***an Book Club - GiveOUT Day is the best opportunity to directly support The Q***r Society. Most of our programs are currently funded by 12-month grants, and won’t have funding after the conclusion of those grant periods.

Donate to us and, with dollar matching, your eligible donation and impact will be doubled. (Limits apply.)

South Australia has some of the least funding available to LGBTQIA+ organisations in the country, so initiatives like GiveOUT Day provide invaluable opportunities for local organisations to get the support they need to continue delivering vital services to the q***r community

🫟 MUD uses pottery as a means to create connections in an inclusive, low-pressure environment. Anyone who's attended a session of MUD will tell you: a) what a chill space it is, and b) how good Remi (our master potter) is at teaching. 

We offer fortnightly MUD sessions for free in partnership with the City of Salisbury, and fortnightly sessions of FORM for a small fee in partnerships with the City of West Torrens Library. 

Raising funds for these groups allows us to continue offering access at low-cost (and no-cost) entry.

Our dream for MUD would be to offer wheel throwing sessions in addition to the hand sculpting we already have. If we were to reach our goal of $5000 raised, we could start offering those sessions asap.

This isn’t your average quiz night. Local community groups will take over the mic throughout the evening, each hosting their own quiz round and bringing their own personality, knowledge and creativity to the night.

Gather your friends, build your team and put your knowledge to the test while supporting the incredible groups that help make our local community stronger.

Whether you’re a trivia champion or just coming along for a laugh, everyone is welcome.

Following on from our earlier post we wanted to highlight our projects in a little more detail! 🏳️‍🌈

We’re aiming to raise $5000 for our community pottery groups to be able to continue providing free and cheap pottery class and workshops to our community. We’re hoping to raise enough funds to also invest in some potters wheels if we can! 🏺
