Do you work in the youth sector and if so, would you like a great opportunity to build your skills, be inspired, hear about very important and relevant topics in youth work and network all in the one day?

If so, you are invited to the YP+ME Conference on Friday, 24 May 2024 at Tabor College.

This day-long conference is designed to bring together professionals dedicated to youth work for upskilling, networking, and engaging in sector-specific professional development. Dive into a day packed with workshops, engaging expert panels, and a celebration of the youth sector's contributions and potential.
This year's theme, "Looking Towards the Future," promises to inspire and challenge us to envision and shape the future of youth work together.

Time: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Venue: Tabor College

During the conference we will be hosting a Sector Expo. It’s a great way to showcase your service to other professionals that may lead to collaboration, referrals and greater awareness of your service offerings.

Expo Setup: 8:45 AM (for a 9:30 AM start) - 5:00 PM
Investment: $100 for an expo position (includes conference attendance for 1 staff member at a special rate of $20; additional attendees at full price).

Goodness me time flies! It’s nearly the end of 2023!

I (Blaze) recently had a look at my Facebook memories and I re-discovered this post of myself, Josh, Tayla and Wilson visiting SYNC as guest speakers at their AGM.

…I didn’t even know what an AGM was back then!!! 😂 amazing what 5 years of learning and experiencing things can teach you! Now with a title like “Chair of SYNC” I cheekily feel that it’s okay to extend a heartfelt request to you for the end of the year ☀️

Please take the next month gently… Make space to recharge your batteries by doing the things you love... Make time to reflect on how far you have come, and above all else: Be kind to yourself…

We really look forward to reconnecting in the new year, in the meantime - the SYNC committee sends you well wishes over the festive season!

Yesterday SYNC had our last meeting for the year, followed by our AGM. Welcoming the new members of our executive committee, and sending gratitude to members of the exec that retired this year! We hope you all have a restful end of the year. The new committee is really looking forward to reconnecting with you in 2024!

The annual YP+ME professional development conference will be an exciting event that SYNC is involved in, keep an eye out for more updates on social media and via our mailing list!

📅 Save the date! 📅 November 14th is our next AGM!

To celebrate another year of holding space for people who work with and around young people, we want to do something extra special... (more information to come!)

To make sure that we are keeping our focus on what matters most to those connected to SYNC, we asked attendees of our last catch up some questions (see the initial insights attached).

Have you lost touch with who is in the SYNC network? It's okay... Us too! This morning we are looking forward to catching up with some of you at the Cove Civic Centre to host a reconnect / SYNC mapping session and of course to welcome our guest speakers from Professional Youth Work SA!

The theme for this meeting is almost the opposite of our popular speed networking events! We will be taking our time to highlight who is within the network and what they offer, who is connected via our extended networks (and what they offer), what is working, what's not working, and how we can collectively work together to strengthen purposeful connections across the youth sector in the southern region!
