Full fare payers will be able to use their credit card to catch Frankston line trains (and some other lines) from tomorrow. This is ahead of a roll-out to the entire train network next Sunday. We have tested this at Chelsea and can confirm they read credit cards. Concession passengers and those using a bus or tram should stick with myki for now.

TRAIN DELAYS. Yesterday on the first morning of the reinstated train service, there were major delays at Seaford. This morning there are delays of up to 60 min, this time due to a track fault at Frankston. Check Metro website for updates through the morning.

TOO MANY DAYS: Politicians like Tim Richardson Sonya Kilkenny MP Michael Galea MP Lee Tarlamis MP & Gabrielle Williams MP may be all hyped to celebrate the reopening of Mordialloc Station in two days but we're here to remind them that Chelsea station still needs fixing with the central pedestrian crossing it needs. Our counter shows it's been 1639 days since Chelsea station reopened WITHOUT a convenient central crossing. That's too long. So time for action Ros Spence MP & Jacinta Allan to fix a safety and access issue that a properly designed station should never have had.

We're watching the Parliament Accounts and Estimates Committee post budget hearing this morning. Minister Gabrielle Williams MP repeatedly said that train stations should be integrated as part of the community, not just a platform where you catch trains from. For this vision to become real our train stations need to facilitate direct access across the rail corridor. Something that Chelsea station can only achieve with a direct pedestrian crossing between its footbridge/lifts and Nepean Hwy.
