This week we were delighted to see City of Kingston Junior council, led by Junior Major Evie Brandon-Cope present cheques to two worthy local groups for their dedication to youth in Care.
Both groups have received $1,000 each to help with their vital services.

Acacia Avenue Preschool is a community-led kindergarten for 3 and 4 year olds, where curiosity is encouraged and childhood is celebrated.

Neami National provide mental health and wellbeing support to help people in ways that are important and tailored to them.

Youth Chair Keith Chamberlain and Sandy Antonuccio beam with pride this time of the year! They see young, shy children not knowing each other grow skills and friendships while embracing the program.

Grade 6 Primary school students learn about local government and the democratic process while gaining leadership and presentation skills. Debating seems a group favourite and handy skill that helped them set strict criteria and determine this year's worthy recipients.
Well done Junior Council!

Thank you Keith, Sandy Chelsea Rotary Australia and Zurica from City of Kingston for ensuring the continued success of the program!

Happy International Women’s Day!
Club Member Spotlight - Natasha Williams
Although often working behind the scenes, no one has ever described Natasha as quiet.. Having joined in September 2024 Natasha helps bolster our social media presence and brings a bit of energetic fun to our fundraising efforts.
Natasha was a Rotary exchange student in 1992 and has always wanted to give back after such a wonderful life changing year away. “The generosity of clubs from all over the country that reached out while I was a student has left a lifetime impression. There was never any ulterior motive or expectation for something in return, they just truly believed it was the right thing to do to build community spirit.”
Natasha passionately believes the easiest way to get over the challenges of day-to-day living is to just go help make someone’s day brighter. She lights up talking about the joy of volunteering each month for the City of Kingston Farmers Market. “Our stall holders work so hard to bring us such delicious farm fresh produce, it’s an honour to support them. Every $2 donation from our local patrons helps us put it back into the community to those in need. How lucky am I to be there to thank them for supporting us!”
