Ruby Gaea Darwin Centre Against Sexual Violence Inc Ruby Gaea Darwin Centre Against Sexual Violence Inc is a community based counselling and education service which was established in 1987.

Ruby Gaea employs specialist, qualified counsellors who provide free, confidential counselling and support for those whom have experienced sexual assault at any time in their lives. Females (including trans-women) of all ages and males from ages 5 - 17 only. Ruby Gaea develops and delivers community education programs about sexual assault for the public, schools and organisations. Ruby Gaea advocates for a world free from sexual violence.

Are you a therapist working in Government or the NGO space, with one or more Clients who have experienced SV?

We warmly invite you to join the Darwin Centre Against Sexual Violence and the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) for a free Sexual Violence Community of Practice (SVCOP).

We provide a professional space for knowledge and experience sharing to enhance professional practice and improve the quality of care provided to victim/survivors of sexual violence.

Content involves discussions around themes around SV presentations and different counselling modalities used to assist SV presentations. All meetings are focused on Sexual Violence only.
This SVCOP is held bi-monthly on a Tuesday morning in Casuarina from 9-11. Come as a one-off, ongoing or as it suits.

Please note this is not a training but more like a Peer Supervision and contribution/participation is expected from all attendees. The hours may be used towards your professional registration requirements.

Come down for a free BBQ, music, lawn games, community stalls, a clothes swap and a chance to just hang out with some good humans.
