Coast Guard Carrum VF07

Coast Guard Carrum VF07 Founded in 1966, VF07 is one of Victoria’s busiest flotillas, responding to numerous rescues, searches, and assistance calls each year.

Our team patrols Port Phillip Bay from Sandringham to Mornington and beyond when needed. In an emergency, dial 000.

Recently a group from our flotilla visited the Water Police state control office.
Their shared focus on dynamic risk assessments and safety was great to hear and their bespoke control room and software gives them the best chance or saving lives in a marine incident.

Last night three of our newer members were sworn in as regular members by the Commander.

We look forward to working with them to support safety at sea over the coming years.

Winter gives our flotilla a great opportunity for night training out on Port Phillip. It’s a very different perspective going out into the abyss of darkness but we managed to view navigational lights, simulate a line search, tow, retrieve vessels and communications.
Great work team! 🌙

To every volunteer who gives their time, energy, and heart in service to others, thank you. Your generosity does not go unnoticed, and your willingness to step forward, often when others step back, is nothing short of inspiring. You represent the very best of community spirit: kindness in action, compassion without expectation, and dedication without recognition.

A very special thank you goes to the incredible volunteers within our marine rescue community. In all conditions, calm or challenging, you stand ready to answer the call. Whether it’s assisting those in distress, safeguarding lives, or providing reassurance in moments of uncertainty, your courage and professionalism make a profound difference. You are often the quiet heroes on the water, bringing hope where it’s needed most.

Your commitment goes beyond duty, it reflects a deep care for people, for safety, and for each other. The countless hours you dedicate, the skills you continually refine, and the sacrifices you make do not go unseen. Because of you, families are reunited, lives are protected, and communities feel safer.

To all volunteers, and especially our marine rescue teams, we are deeply grateful. Thank you for your service, your strength, and your unwavering dedication. You make the world a better, safer place.

We’re proud to tick off our 10th year supporting the most vulnerable in our community — our kids!
Being part of the Good Friday Appeal each year is something truly special, and we’re honoured to continue helping make a difference.
Our volunteers today did an amazing job helping to raise much needed funds for the Royal Children’s hospital.

Congratulations to all involved in this massive community event.
