Dutch Club Abel Tasman

Our venue is also for hire for private functions. The Dutch Club – based in Carnegie, Melbourne – was founded in 1958 and is still going strong today.

The Dutch Club in Melbourne is part of The Netherlands Society, a not-for-profit charity organisation that hosts social & cultural events and also caters for non-Dutch local events like live music nights. It is the place where the Dutch community regularly gets together, and we host social and cultural events. Whilst it is a hub for the Dutch community, we also cater for non-Dutch local events, ho

st band nights and hire out our Carnegie hall for private events. Our focus is events for the Dutch-Australian community, but all our events are open to anyone. Drop in at our next event and if you’re a regular, consider a membership to support the club and its activities.

As many of you know, since updating our constitution and obtaining charity status last year, The Netherlands Society has been working hard at additional ways we can give back to the wider community — alongside our existing Dutch social and cultural events.

☕🍰 These mornings are designed to bring people together in a warm Dutch atmosphere, with coffee, tea, Dutch treats, conversation, and gezelligheid for both Dutch and local community members alike.
