We give students a step up in the world. Our vision at Skyline is that VCE students, who have high ability or are gifted and/or academically talented become resilient leaders in the face of social and economic adversity.

❤️🤍 Real workplaces. Real conversations. Real inspiration. 🩺✨

Three Skyline students spent their July school holidays completing work experience at ForHealth Medical Centres, exploring careers across healthcare and gaining invaluable insight into life in a busy medical clinic.

But the biggest takeaway wasn’t just learning about medicine. It was learning that there’s no one path to your dream career.

Last Wednesday, our Skyliners spent the day immersed in university life as part of our July Masterclass.

⭐ In-depth VCE subject workshops
⭐ University pathways
⭐ Financial literacy
⭐ VTAC & SEAS
⭐ Life skills
⭐ RMIT Scavenger Hunt
⭐ A full day of learning, connection and fun!

There was so much energy throughout the day as students explored a Melbourne university campus, built new friendships, strengthened existing ones, and gained practical knowledge to support both their VCE studies and future aspirations. ❤️

A huge thank you to RMIT University, , , .vic, , our presenters, mentors, volunteers and Skyline team for creating such an inspiring experience.

“Skyline allowed me to gain opportunities that would have been out of reach.” 🤍❤️⭐️

At 14, Mary (class of 2017) was working part time to help support her family.

She loved school and dreamed of a future in STEM, but the financial pressure became so great she considered leaving after Year 10.

“Year 10 felt like there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Then Skyline came along. I got my energy back.”

With Skyline’s support, Mary became the first in her family to attend university.

Today, she’s Manager, Infrastructure, Assets and Places at KPMG.

“Skyline took away the barriers that I was experiencing in the past, which paved the journey to where I am today.”

And on her very first day at KPMG, she unexpectedly met another Skyline alumnus.

“We made it.”
