We are proud to support HaGal Sheli, a unique program offering surf therapy to treat trauma and PTSD. As Israel's mental health system continues to grapple with unprecedented challenges, HaGal Sheli has stepped up to support 10's of thousands of Israelis.

Find out more about HaGal Sheli's expansion into the academic world, as they launch the world's first Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences with a specialisation in Surf Therapy, together with Ono College.

UIA Victoria Young Leadership is honoured to announce Sheina Gutnick as our guest speaker at Rise Together - our Melbourne community challah bake, hosted by United Israel Appeal Australia VIC Young Leadership in collaboration with Young Adults Caulfield Shule.

Sheina is the Public Affairs Advocate for the Combat Antisemitism Movement Australia (Combat AntiSemitism) a Jewish educator and speaker with a background in behavioural therapy. Since the Bondi terror attack in December 2025, in which her father Reuven Morrison was murdered, she has become a powerful public voice against antisemitism and for a safer, more connected Australia.

Another meaningful UIA For a Day journey through Israel's South.

By walking the communities forever changed by the atrocities of October 7, hearing firsthand from those rebuilding their lives, and visiting the projects restoring hope, our participants gained a deeper understanding of Israel's reality today and the vital impact of UIA's work on the ground through the Rebuilding Israel Fund.

The day included visits to:

💙 Youth Futures Sdot Negev - our flagship program for at-risk youth
💙 Kibbutz Magen - one of the 10 communities we are supporting through our Communities2Gether program
💙 Re'im forest where the tragedy of October 7 unfolded at the Nova festival
💙 The 'Burnt Car Cemetery,” where 1,650 vehicles belonging to the party attendees now remain
💙 Givat Kobi Observation Point overlooking the Gaza border
💙 Sderot Police Station where many lives were lost
