Dementia Demolition Squad

Dementia Demolition Squad Goal: To help find the cure for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and all dementias. And I have already lost my dear parents - dad to Parkinson's and mum to Alzheimer's.

Using quality shrink resistant fabrics, our t-shirts are proudly printed in Australia and we ship worldwide. A cure now won't help the ones I deeply love as we are already in the high risk age group - as are all baby boomers. My parents loved each other dearly but they didn't get to grow old together. Disease took away their abilities and their lives so unfairly and I can never accept that. They d

id not deserve what happened to them. No-one does. Their story inspired me to take action. With dear hubby as my greatest supporter and motivator we fundraise with these shirts, community events and market stalls. I started colouring in to deal with my own pain in seeing my mum deteriorate over a long 16 years with dementia. I could not 'fix' her. There are no medications to fix the brain damage that occurs with Alzheimer's. There is no way to take it away and there never will be. A cure however means that we can stop it, and hopefully prevent it. That is the goal. To stop it in its tracks. To smash it down and destroy it. To stop people from getting it. To stop it destroying lives. We have raised $25,151.00. Our goal is to reach $100,000 this financial year. Donations can be made on our fundraising link at https://foundation.neura.edu.au/dds-fundraising/ and please ensure you click below our photo.

Hi This is one of our PhD recipients at the NeuRA Symposium in 2024. The challenge was to summarise her research in 3 minutes and Shally's topic is about subjective ageing.

We sponsored Shally again last year to help continue her work on age and links to health and cognition.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
