The Street University Canberra

The Street University Canberra Street Uni Canberra provides a safe space for youth & communities, creating opportunities for engaging in educational, recreational & arts-based programs.

The Street University is a pioneering youth movement that Public Enemy’s Chuck D called “a work of art”. The Street University concept is founded on an idea Ted Noffs envisioned in the 60s in Sydney - that is “No young person is a write off.”

Every Street University centre is unique. The programs are tailored to local young people’s interests and are often run by the young people themselves. Our

mantra is “For the street, by the street”

Whether you’re looking to hone your creative skills, move beyond your drug problems, find housing, do better at school, start a new business or even just finding a community to be a part of - the Street University is here for you. We have helped thousands upon thousands of young people find exciting new futures. Whether it’s hip hop, dance, graf or even business - we’re here to help you forge a future that is as unique as you!

Just letting you know that Street Sessions is STILL ON tonight from 7pm! We just don't have a poster because of some last minute changes to the lineup.

Tonight we will have a set from Meera and Mia, featuring a mix of acoustic tracks and tracks from Meera's debut EP... Which was produced by our resident production wizard .illkasongo!

Just wanted to let you guys know that due to a few staff members leaving street uni for new adventure. TSU Canberra will be closing at 5pm EVERYDAY going forwards, until staff numbers are back up of course!
