🐴 June Rally 🐴

Our riders participated in a range of activities, including dressage with Mary Nitschke, jumping equitation with Clare Collett, PC Mount with Abbey Lonsdale (2 x State Showrider PC Mount Champion), and horsemanship with Jodie Harris.

They were also treated to a dressage demonstration by Abbey and Mary, which demonstrated advanced dressage movements. Our members and their families were mesmorised by the impressive display of Abbey and 'Elvis' as they performed their 'fancy dancing tricks'. Our riders particularly enjoyed practising their 'two-time changes' on foot!
This demonstration was a wonderful learning experience for our young riders, showcasing the possibilities that can be achieved through effort, commitment, and training.

Our rally concluded with mounted games, making it a fun, educational, and social day.

A very big thankyou goes to all of our instructors for giving up their time to teach our children, our sponsor The LeMottee Group and our families for making today (and every club day) run smoothly by helping out and lending a hand where needed.

Our ribbon day may have been a wash out today, but 10 keen riders still joined us for a 'hobby horse ribbon day' and morning tea!

There were lots of laughs, a couple of slips, some fancy footwork in the showhorse classes, and fast turns in the sporting. Riders finished the day with a showjump course, riding to optimum time. Here they learnt that the fastest time isn't necessarily the winner.

A very big thankyou to our co-chief instructor, Clare Collett for bringing this hobby horse ribbon day together for the children to enjoy. The handmade rosettes were such a beautiful touch.Thankyou to our showhorse judges, Zoe and Sophie. You should be commended on your fair and encouraging judging. Thankyou to Alex M for the lolly bags and homemade hobby horses.

Our next day is on June 14th, with a rally day featuring some exciting guest instructors and activities. We hope to see as members as possible join us!

A very big thankyou to our sponsor for April's rally day, Righteous Machine Maintenance. We are so grateful for your support!

The weather turned it on for our April rally day. The sun shone and our members loved catching up with their pony club friends for some school holiday fun!

Our guest instructors this month were:
Anna-Charlotte Kennedy for showjumping
and Jess Warby and Rachel for dry cow work.
Thankyou so much to our guest instructors for spending the day with us and teaching our riders. We also had polo x practice and mounted certificate work/flatwork. We had lots of happy kids with big smiles!

After lunch we split into 2 teams, for a dress up novelty game, where riders had to ride a course and dress up a parent. This was so much fun!!!

The Hinton Wallalong Pony Club has always been a place where young riders build confidence, develop lifelong skills, and forge unforgettable friendships. To continue providing the best possible experience for our members, we are reaching out to our wonderful community for support.

Quality instruction is at the heart of everything we do. We are currently raising funds to bring in experienced, dedicated riding instructors who can guide our riders safely and effectively. These instructors play a crucial role in helping our members, from beginners learning the basics to advanced riders refining their technique to achieve their goals.

By contributing to our instructor fund, you are directly investing in the growth and safety of our young equestrians. HWPC's first rally day of the year was held on the weekend, and 2026 is off to a great start! With new and returning members in attendance, the day was filled with learning, riding, and horsemanship and most importantly FUN!!! Looking forward to our next rally day in March, where we have some exciting guest instructors joining us. 🐴

What a fabulous start to 2026!!! We gave the ponies the morning off, and came together for a fun morning to ease ourselves back into pony club and welcome our new members. Gear was checked ready for our 1st rally day next weekend, and our kids were grouped to do fun team building activities like human knot, a scavenger hunt and a race to see which team could put a bridle together the fastest.

We also had our 1st ever car boot sale, where members could buy, sell and swap unwanted uniforms and horse gear.

We finished off our morning with morning tea and some water play.

We are looking forward to a great 2026 with lots of fun and exciting things planned. Watch this space!🐴
