Champion, a true sportsman and, above all, a gentleman.

Ettore was part of an important generation of players who helped build the traditions and spirit of bocce in Australia.

A highly accomplished competitor, Ettore reached the highest level of our sport, becoming a two-time Australian Bocce Fours Champion, winning the national title in 1990 and again in 1994.
While those Australian Championships will forever form part of his sporting legacy, Ettore will be remembered for much more than the titles he won.

He was a true sportsman and gentleman — someone who played the game with respect, dignity and a genuine love for bocce. He represented the values that our sport seeks to uphold: sportsmanship, friendship, respect for opponents and enjoyment of competition.

For those who had the privilege of knowing or competing alongside Ettore, his character was every bit as important as his achievements on the court.
Ettore belonged to a generation that helped establish the foundations upon which Australian bocce continues to grow. Through competition, friendship and community, players such as Ettore helped ensure that the traditions of our sport were passed from one generation to the next.

Bocce Victoria and Australia proudly acknowledges Ettore Pozzer as an Australian Champion and thanks him for his contribution to our sport.

On behalf of the Bocce Australia, Bocce Victoria and our affiliated States and Clubs, players, officials and the wider Australian bocce community, we extend our sincere condolences to Ettore’s family and friends. His name and achievements will remain part of the history of Australian bocce, while those who knew him will remember the gentleman behind the champion.

Rest in Peace, Ettore.
🏆 Australian Bocce Fours Champion — 1990
🏆 Australian Bocce Fours Champion — 1994

Vale Ettore Pozzer — Champion, Sportsman, Gentleman.

Bocce = Life Long Friendships

A great day of Raffa or Bocce doesn't just end once the game is over. Our bocce community even managed to squeeze in a spot of olive picking with our amazing Kyabram hosts! Great sport, great people and great memories.
