🎃 The only thing scarier than Halloween? A world where polio still exists! 👻

This October 24, we're marking World Polio Day and reminding everyone that polio eradication is no trick… but it would certainly be one incredible treat! 🍬

Thanks to Rotary and our global partners, we've helped reduce polio cases by more than 99.9% since 1988. But until every child is protected, our work isn't finished.

💉 Vaccines save lives. 🌍 Every child deserves a polio-free future. ❤️ Together, we can finish what we started.

So this Halloween season, let's scare polio out of existence once and for all!

🎃 Let's make polio a ghost of the past!

🕊️Today, we join people from around the world in recognising International Day of Peace. This year's United Nations theme, "Invest in Peace: For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day," reminds us that peace is built through understanding, compassion, and our everyday actions.

Together, we can foster stronger communities and contribute to a more peaceful future for all.

CASSIE OXENFORD GUEST SPEAKER
Cassie spoke about the motor neuron disease Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and the logistics and challenges in its diagnosis and treatment. There is no simple marker that indicates people
might have the disease. There is no effective treatment. People who have been involved in super-strenuous activity and those who live in rural areas seem to be at higher risk.
