🧼💚 We're proud to have donated 22,440 bars of recycled soap to Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS), helping support healthy families and communities across the Pilbara.
Access to basic hygiene products is essential for health, dignity and wellbeing. This donation will support programs aimed at promoting health, hygiene and wellbeing across remote communities throughout the region. We are delighted to see one pallet already reaching families and community members in Jigalong as part of this distribution.
PAMS Environmental Health Team commented on the delivery: “On May 22nd, clinical staff at the Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service were able to establish a pop-up stall aimed at providing inoculations for both influenzas and diphtheria to address the emerging outbreaks in regional WA. During this time, the Soap Aid supplies were utilized as an invaluable promotion and education tool, to emphasize the importance of hand, face and skin washing at this time.”
This delivery was made possible with the support of Rio Tinto through its Community Giving Grant program, helping ensure these essential hygiene products reached remote communities across the region.
Together with partners like PAMS and Rio Tinto, we demonstrate how circular economy solutions can create meaningful environmental and social outcomes.
