This past quarter, FAN has continued to support young people experiencing homelessness, family violence, and trauma—helping them reclaim safety, stability, and hope.
From securing safe housing and providing essential material aid, to fostering healing through creative art therapy and peer group support, our team is empowering young people to take their first steps toward independence.

🌈 What do you get when you combine pickleball, pride and a passionate team? An amazing day of fun, connection and fundraising! 🌈🏓
As part of the Sweat with Pride challenge, the FAN Club team hit the court for a colourful pickleball tournament to help celebrate inclusion, visibility and support for rainbow communities.
Adding plenty of fun and energy to the day, our team embraced the spirit of the challenge by dressing in their brightest rainbow-themed outfits and giving it their all on the court.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, cheered from the sidelines and helped make the event such a success.
There’s still time to support the FAN Club team and help us continue making a difference for rainbow communities.

AROUND 64% OF LGBTQIA+ VICTORIANS REPORT EXPERIENCING FAMILY VIOLENCE IN THEIR LIFETIME.
This statistic is confronting, and it reminds us why awareness matters.
On LGBTIQ+ Domestic Violence Awareness Day, we stand with LGBTQIA+ communities across Victoria and beyond who have experienced violence in relationships and families. Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported, no matter their sexuality, gender identity or lived experience.
We also recognise that many LGBTQIA+ people face additional barriers to seeking help, including fear of discrimination, being outed, or not being believed. Services and communities must be inclusive, affirming and safe for everyone.
Awareness is only the beginning. Change happens when we listen, believe and act.

✨ Our brand new website is now live! ✨
We’re so excited to launch a fresh new online home for FAN. The new site has been designed to better reflect who we are today as a welcoming, inclusive and community-focused organisation.
The new site makes it easier to:
💜 Learn about our programs and services
💜 Access support and resources
💜 Get involved through donations and partnerships
💜 Stay connected with the work we do across our community
Every day, FAN supports young people, young families and children experiencing or at risk of homelessness and family violence, and our new website helps us share that work more clearly and accessibly than ever before.
We’d love you to take a look and share it with your networks!

When LGBTQIA+ young people see public debates questioning their identity or place in the community, the impact can be deeply personal.
This recent ABC article explores the ongoing national conversation around gender identity discrimination and inclusion following the Tickle v Giggle Federal Court decision.
For many LGBTQIA+ young people, conversations like this are deeply connected to experiences of belonging, safety and wellbeing.
At FAN, we remain committed to creating inclusive, affirming support for all young people in our community. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and to access services, spaces and support free from discrimination.

A landmark Federal Court ruling that the exclusion of a transgender woman from a female-only app constituted unlawful gender identity discrimination is upheld on appeal.

🌈 What an incredible afternoon we had celebrating IDAHOBIT Day!

The sun was shining as we came together at Box Hill Mall for a vibrant and joyful community event in recognition of IDAHOBIT Day.

The team from FAN joined forces with the City of Whitehorse’s Youth Connexions and an amazing group of local organisations to create a welcoming, inclusive and fun space for young people and the wider community.

There was music, games, snacks, bracelet and badge making, a busy photo booth and plenty of rainbow energy throughout the afternoon 🌈📸✨

IDAHOBIT Day serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion, visibility and standing together against discrimination, and it was wonderful to see the community come together in such a positive way.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the afternoon so special!!!! 💛
