Shooters from Hobart, Dysart, Charters Towers,Mackay/Sarina, Burdekin, Townsville and Silkwood travelled to compete with our local members for our competition in May. Thirty Three shooters fought it out in windy sunny conditions. We will be holding a working bee and practise this Saturday 25 April commencing at 2pm. All welcome to come along and try out the sport and have a practise.
Our April monthly shoot will be held this Sunday 26 April commencing at 9am. It will be the last chance to practise before the Roma Annual and the QCTA State Trap Carnival.

What a wonderful time we had on the weekend. Saturday saw 28 shooters competing in the 75 Target Medley sponsored by Central Hotel. Sunday was round 3 of the inter club 100 Target challenge which saw 53 shooters competing against each other to take out the wins. Joseph Rossato took out the honours of overall with an impressive win of 100/100. Shooter of the year for 2025 was also presented to the winner - Greg Maltby. Thank you also to S&W Crane Hire for sponsoring the 100 Target day and Halls Fi****ms for the $100 voucher for the lucky shooter draw. Marius Venter was the winner of the raffle. The Port Denison Gun Club will be hosting Round 3 of the Four Club 100 Target Challenge this Sunday 22 March commencing at 9am. This is your second last chance to climb the leader board. There will be $2500 up for grabs with Overall, 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each grade. Kindly sponsored by S & W Crane Hire.

As we had to postpone our January and February shoots due to the rain, we will also be holding a 75 Target Medley sponsored by Central Hotel tomorrow Saturday 21 March commencing at 1pm.

Why not come and camp the weekend. The kitchen will not be operating on Saturday night but will have a sausage sizzle lunch on Saturday and morning tea and lunch on Sunday.
