It's Fathers Day!

Today we celebrate all the dads, stepdads, grandads, father figures, mentors and special people who show up, support us, guide us and make a difference in our lives.

Whether you’re celebrating with family, remembering someone special, or simply appreciating the important people who have helped shape you, we hope you have a wonderful day 🎉

As you prepare your property for fire season, it's a good idea to notify emergency services if you're planning a burn off 🔥🍃

The Fire Permits Victoria website is a quick and easy way to notify online - firepermits.vic.gov.au

🔥 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗬 🔥
On Monday night, our members were putting their Breathing Apparatus (BA) skills to the test.

BA training is an important part of preparing our members to safely operate in environments where the air may be contaminated, smoky or unsafe to breathe.

We train because when the pager goes off, there’s no time to learn on the job. Our members need to be ready to respond safely, confidently and effectively — for themselves, their teammates and the community we serve. 🚒

Last night, Bittern Fire Brigade held a social dinner to celebrate the efforts of our members over the past year — and, most importantly, to give everyone a chance to put their boots aside, relax, enjoy some great food and spend time together. ❤️

A huge thank you to Balnarring Bowls Club for allowing us to hold our event at their wonderful venue.

And a special thank you to Gastronomcoyc, our favourite local chef and long time supporter of our Brigade, for catering the evening. The food was absolutely incredible! Let's hope all our turnout gear still fits us after that feast👌🍽️

Most importantly, thank you to all of our members for the time, commitment and dedication you give to our Brigade and our community 🙏🏻

It was a great night of good food, good company and plenty of laughs. 🚒❤️
