🚨 The Australian Government is launching AusAlert, a new national warning system that can send emergency messages to compatible mobile devices in times of disaster.

AusAlert will be ready to use from October 2026, but before it launches it will be tested across Australia.

A national test will be conducted on 27 July. You will receive a test emergency alert on your phone as part of the Federal Government’s new AusAlert national emergency warning system trial.

🔊 Expect a loud siren sound, vibration and pop-up alert, even if your phone is on silent. This is only a test and no action needed.

Our friend & neighbour ❤️

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of David Kerr on Sunday 31st May, following a short illness.

David dedicated almost 49 years of service to the CFA, serving his community through Balnarring Fire Brigade and the Westernport Group. Throughout his distinguished service, he held numerous leadership positions, including Lieutenant, Deputy Group Officer, Brigade President and Group Delegate.

David was respected for his commitment, experience and willingness to support others. His contribution to the CFA, his brigade and the broader community leaves a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.

On behalf of the Westernport Group, we extend our sincere condolences to David's family, friends and all members of Balnarring Fire Brigade.
