Meet little Sprout (ginger boy) and Sage (light blonde) both around 8 weeks old. They were found with their mum who'd had 6 kittens! Posey was starving when found, poor sweetheart! 😟 So thankful she was found and handed in. The 2 boys are getting desexed this Friday. PETS IN THE PARK is a free service for pet owners and is run from the Girl Guide Hall, Carlyle St., in Byron Bay from 11.00am - 2.00 pm every 3rd Sunday of the month. This is run by vets who volunteer their service https://www.facebook.com/PetsInTheParkByronBay

Pets In The Park is a free pet clinic provided for the homeless or those at risk of becoming homeless who have animal companions.

UPDATE - Jet is on trial adoption 😍
Jet and Beth arrived at the shelter on Monday. They are still nervous, and settling in to their new surroundings bless them. Jet seemed to love his 'breakfast in bed' this morning! ☺️ Both cats seem like they will be very sweet and affectionate once they find their feet...I mean paws! 😻 thanks volunteer Kate for showing us how lovely these 2 are.
Both have just been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.

I’m seeking a loving, forever home for my stunning Ragdoll, Elsa. She is a purebred, incredibly affectionate girl with a calm, indoor nature—though she loves relaxing outdoors on a deck or in a safe, nearby garden. She’s a beautiful companion with a gentle, easy-going nature and adores human connection.
I’m making this difficult decision because I’m relocating overseas, and I want to ensure Elsa finds the perfect, loving home. Elsa would likely be best suited to a single person, couple, or a family with older, calmer children.
She has a gentle nature and I don't feel she would thrive in a very busy or noisy household with young children.
She has always adapted well to caring house sitters when I've been away and has previously lived peacefully alongside my daughter's kitten, so she may also suit a home with another calm, cat-friendly pet.
Though she is a sought-after breed, I will carefully assess potential adopters to ensure the best fit. If you have a calm, stable household and feel you could offer Elsa the loving home she deserves, please reach out.
This is a very important decision for me, and I want to ensure she is cherished in her next chapter.

RSPCA STRAYCARE FREE DESEXING AND MICROCHIP PROGRAM HAS NOW CLOSED.
Sadly, the funds for this program have run out. To provide further insight, the project's original target was 7100 cats and under the program 7500 cats have now been desexed thanks to the incredible work of each and every one of the vet clinics and Councils involved.

Meet Simba - this video was taken during my volunteer shift Monday morning. Sadly, he had become quite distressed since then (this unfortunately can be common with older cats) We started to notice blood in his urine, and that he was becoming very agitated. So we took him to the vet who diagnosed him with stress induced cystitis. He is now on 2 medications, and has 3 litter trays.
WE ARE HOPING HE GETS ADOPTED ASAP, OR, WE CAN FIND A LOVELY FOSTER CARER 💖
