🚶‍♀️🚴 Final week to have your say on a proposed shared path between Alstonville and Ballina!

Feedback on route options and concept designs for a proposed shared pedestrian and bicycle path linking Alstonville and West Ballina closes next Tuesday 28 April.

Four potential routes have been identified, including routes south and north of the Bruxner Highway. Assessment of each option has considered cost, terrain, environmental factors and user experience.

Concept designs, maps, technical reports and a detailed FAQ are available to help you explore the options and understand what’s involved. Your feedback will help inform the selection of a preferred route.

These concept designs are funded by the NSW Government through the Get NSW Active program.

Bicycle NSW is asking for ideas for a visionary project. Here's mine: A 'Ballina to the Border' coastal cycleway, with connections to the rail trail at Byron Bay and Billinudgel.

There are already high quality coastal cycleways in Ballina Shire and Tweed Shire. Guess which council has none.
