We recently held our very first YPN event for 2026!

It was fantastic to introduce our new committee, reconnect with familiar faces, and welcome some new ones into the group. A big thank you to the Courthouse Hotel for hosting us, and to everyone who came along and got involved. We loved the energy in the room and are already looking forward to getting together again soon and continuing to build momentum with more engaging events.

Our committee will be meeting in the coming weeks to start planning for the rest of 2026 and into 2027, and we’d love your input! If there are any speakers, topics, or event ideas you’d like to see on the calendar, drop them in the comments or send us a message.

Madison:
As a commercial lawyer at OFRM I spend my day helping local business with everything from leases, T&C’s, employment contracts to purchasing commercial property. On the weekend I can be found at pilates, vintage shopping or on the couch with my dog.

Tash:
Working for a local builder doing the estimating and accounts, I love being part of people’s new home journey, from helping them decide their colours to handing over the keys on moving day. If I’m not at work, chances are I’m reading or watching sports, or both!

Linden:
Hi, I’m Linden a proud Minang Noongar woman and I work in arts and culture. I’m really passionate about creating opportunities for young people entering creative careers. I moved to Bendigo in 2020 (just in time for lock downs) and really excited to finally be finding my feet both professionally and socially in Bendigo, with my partner and our 2 fur babies (yes I have become someone who speaks about their dogs like they are children 😂).

Jesse:
I’m a community-focused creative who works with local councils and organisations to bring people together through art, music, and genuinely fun events across regional areas. I love creating spaces that feel vibrant, inclusive, and easy to walk into, and I’m excited to be part of something that helps people connect in a real way.

Back with a few more of the faces of the new YPN committee!
If you saw our last post, you’ll know there’s quite a few of us, so we’re continuing with part 2 of 3 of the introductions.

So here’s a few more of the faces you’ll be seeing at our first event of the year on the 14th of May!

Ashleigh:
I’m an Operations Manager with a background in HR. When I’m not at work, I’m being bossed around by my two toddlers. I am passionate about connecting with and uplifting others.

Alisha:
At Be.Bendigo you will find me behind the scenes, keeping our events, leadership programs, and daily operations running like a well-oiled machine. If something’s happening, chances are I have had a hand in making it all come together.

When I am not at Be.Bendigo, I am busy running my own children’s party business and volunteering my time as treasurer at my local church. At home, I am surrounded by my ever-growing indoor plant collection.

Makayle:
Hi, I’m Makayle, HR Advisor at Strategem. I’m passionate about supporting people to succeed and reach their goals, both professionally and personally. I believe that fostering a positive, supportive environment is key to helping individuals grow and thrive, which is one of the reasons I joined YPN.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on the netball court playing for Strathfieldsaye, at the gym, or having a glass of red at one of Bendigo’s amazing restaurants (huge foodie!)
