𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙈𝙧. 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙉𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖 (𝘼𝙈𝘼𝘼)

The weekend of 16–17 May 2026 was a truly special and memorable occasion for the Armenian Evangelical community of Sydney, as we gathered together to celebrate several significant milestones in the life and ministry of our Church and organisations. Our hearts were filled with gratitude, joy, thanksgiving, and praise to Almighty God for His abundant blessings, faithfulness, guidance, and grace throughout the generations.

The Armenian Evangelical Church of Sydney, in conjunction with the Armenian Missionary Association of Australia, organised three major events commemorating:
• The 180th Anniversary of the Armenian Evangelical Church
• The 60th Anniversary of the Armenian Evangelical Church of Sydney
• The 30th Anniversary of our beautiful church sanctuary
• The 25th Anniversary of the Armenian Missionary Association of Australia

We sincerely thank all those who attended and joined us in learning more about the rich history and ministry of the Armenian Evangelical Church and the AMAA, while celebrating these remarkable milestones together.

Our final anniversary event will take place this Sunday during the Worship Service at 10:00am at the Armenian Evangelical Church of Sydney, 32 Frenchs Road, Willoughby.

Mr. Harout Nercessian will deliver the message and present the worldwide ministry and humanitarian work of the AMAA, with special focus on its mission and outreach in Armenia.

2026 ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION!
Armenian Evangelical Church of Sydney and the Armenian Missionary Association of Australia.

Over the weekend, we celebrated several significant milestones: the 180th anniversary of the Armenian Evangelical Church, the 60th anniversary of the Armenian Evangelical Church of Sydney, the 30th anniversary of the Armenian Evangelical Church of Sydney Sanctuary, and the 25th anniversary of the Armenian Missionary Association of Australia.

It was our privilege to welcome two distinguished guests for these momentous occasions: Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian, President of the Armenian Evangelical World Council, President of the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East, the President of Haigazian University and President of the Middle East Council of Churches; and Mr. Harout Nercessian, Field Director of the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA), representing AMAA President Mr. Gary Phillips and Executive Director Mr. Serge Buchakjian.

Our celebrations included a Celebration Night on Saturday, 16 May, at St Stephen’s Uniting Church, Sydney; an Anniversary Thanksgiving Worship Service on the morning of Sunday, 17 May, at the Armenian Evangelical Church of Sydney; and a Fundraising Banquet on Sunday evening, 17 May, at Miramare Gardens.

It was a joyous and meaningful occasion, a time of reflection, gratitude, and thanksgiving to God. We were honoured to be joined by many dignitaries, church leaders from various denominations, benefactors, sponsors, representatives of different organisations, friends, church members and many other valued guests.

We give thanks to God for these important milestones and pray that, by His grace, we will continue our journey faithfully under His guidance and blessing.
