Dear Members and Friends, the Committee of the Lemnian Association of NSW would like to wish all the Mothers a Happy Mothers Day 2026, "ευτυχισμένη ημέρα της μητέρας."

Thank you to all our members and friends that attended our annual Mother's Day Luncheon today to make it a wonderful day of celebration. Thank you to our Lemnian Dancing Group and our dance teacher Amelia Magoulias for their very entertaining dance performances. Thank you to our Musician's Tasso Bouzouki(Bouzouki/Vocals) and his father George Lambrou (Accordion/Vocals).

We would also like to thank our caterers, Clarence House, for the wonderful meal, fantastic waiter service and function room decorations.

The Annual ANZAC Day Commemoration & Memorial Service at St Spyridon Church Kingsford NSW.
Last Sunday our Vice President, Arthur Velliss, attended the ANZAC Day Memorial Service at St Spyridon Church Kingsford, along with other invited distinguished guests, including representative from the Consulate of Greece in Sydney, Mr Athanasios Lambrou, Mr Paul Graham OAM, Member of Mascot RSL & Ex-British Royal Navy and many Greek Associations and University Greek Societies of NSW.
After the Sunday Liturgy, the Memorial service started with a welcome speech and the 'Mounting of the Catafalque Party' formed by the UNSW Army Regiment. This was followed by memorial prayers and hymns led by the Reverend Father Steven Scoutas of St Spyridon Parish.
Then there was the ANZAC Day laying of Wreaths by the invited official guests (approx 40). This was followed by a sermon and the ODE, recited by the St Spyridon College Students, in English and Greek. A very moving experience.
The service concluded with the 'Last Post', one minutes silence, the 'Rouse' and the Australian and Greek National Anthems.
Following the Memorial Service, light refreshments were served in the Parish Hall below the church.
It was a great morning, of remembrance and respect from the Greek Community. See you all again next year.

Dear Members and friends, thankyou for attending our April Taverna night last Thursday. We had a great turnout of over 200 guests who enjoyed the music, dancing, dinner and catching up with family and friends.
Thank you Tassos Bouzouki and the band for their opening tribute music to Marinella, and the evenings dance program.

Stay tuned for the details for our Mothers Day Luncheon to be held on the 10th of May 2026.

Καλό Πάσχα , Happy Easter to all our members and friends.
Last night we had a special guest at our Lemnian Dance Classes....our very own Lemnian Bunny!
All the children were pleasantly surprised and received Easter eggs, Easter lollies from the Easter Bunny and enjoyed the half time break to our dancing class.

There will be no dance classes during the school holiday period, have a wonderful Easter Holiday, see you all back on the Tuesday 21st April, 6pm.
