Do you know someone who has recently lost their specs?

Have you lost your specs? They were found on Cordia Way, by one of our community garden members. They are currently being 'minded' by our garden cuddle rabbit. Artarmon community Artarmon Village Artarmon Progress Association

Thank you for the invitation to attend.

A great turnout last night for our third Local Business Support and Activation consultation session - this time with Artarmon businesses.

Thank you to Cr Greco and Cr Roussac for joining the conversation, and a special thank you to Armond and the Pizza Luna team for hosting us.

A big thank you as well to Council staff John and Stella from our Economic Development team for their work organising these sessions and continuing to build strong relationships with businesses across our local centres.

These sessions are an important opportunity to hear directly from local businesses about the future of their centres - what’s working well, the challenges they’re facing and where Council can help create opportunities.

There was strong discussion around enabling appropriate development that supports businesses, creating a clearer identity for Artarmon and giving people more reasons to visit and spend time in the centre. We also spoke about the importance of collaboration between businesses, Council and the community to help activate spaces, create opportunities and support Artarmon’s multicultural, multigenerational community.

Artarmon has a unique character and enormous potential, and it was fantastic to see so many people willing to contribute ideas and work together on the future of the centre.

I’m looking forward to seeing the outcomes of these discussions and the development of an action plan for Artarmon as we continue this important work across our local centres.

If you live, work, shop or spend time in Artarmon, I’d love to hear your ideas as well - what would you like to see in the centre in the future? Please share your thoughts in the comments below. 👇

Do you play golf? Council is seeking feedback on a proposed update to the Castle Cove Golf Course Plan of Management in response to a proposal received from the Castle Cove Country Club, which leases the golf course from Council. Council considered the matter at its meeting held 23 March 2026 and resolved to seek feedback from the community on the draft updated Plan of Management.
The proposal seeks minor changes to the Plan of Management which, if approved, would permit a variation to the lease that would allow temporary changes to the site while the Club's land is being redeveloped to build seniors' housing units following a development approval obtained from the Sydney North Planning Panel.
Temporary uses that would be permitted during construction under a revised Plan Of Management:
· temporary use of the tennis courts as a car park
· temporary use of the tennis club house as a golf club house and pro shop
How to get involved:

This is important as the plan is where Council will focus its resoucres: people, budget, time etc. Is it fair across the entire area managed by Willoughby Council? Is it reaslistic? Is it funded (it's your rates that pay what we get). Is the money being spent in the right places? It may be a dry topic.... but it's like your household budget, get it wrong and it's a disaster in the future.
