This week Rita Bottomley and Michelle Jobson attended a Rotary breakfast at the Ivanhoe Rotary Club and we were so grateful for the opportunity to present!
We shared what Go Girls does, how we support women in our communities, and the impact we're having together.

We felt so welcomed and right at home from the moment we walked in. Thank you to the Ivanhoe Rotary Club for your warmth and generosity in hosting us.

We look forward to forging a partnership with you into the future !

Last week we had the honour of attending the Melbourne Women's Foundation Impact Evening. The discussion focused on: ‘Journey to Impact’💫
The panel consisted of three guests speakers from three different charities, all with a shared goal in mind.

Benjamin Pryke from the Lighthouse Foundation - Shedding light on young girls in our communities who are victims of forced and arranged marriages.

Sally Tonkin from the Hope Network - Supporting women leaving prison to reintegrate, with a social enterprise dog grooming program helping them rebuild skills and community.

Sally Renfrey from the Centre for Women's Economic Safety - Assisting women experiencing financial abuse and helping them reclaim independence.

To be in a room full of inspiring, like-minded and dynamic women doing this work across Victoria was a wonderful experience and to witness the real impact behind it was truly inspiring .

Grateful to have been part of the evening. 🙏

Last Wednesday night, the Go Girls Foundation board members, staff, graduates, mentors and sponsors attended the final Wise Women event.

It was a celebration of women and empowerment!

Gray Tham , who began this initiative three years ago needs to be applauded! She sees beauty and love in everything she does and reflects it straight back to us through her camera lens. We all feel seen, we all feel valued and we all feel empowered.
Thank-you Gray !

On Friday the 14th of August, the Go Girls Foundation was proud to be part of Hawthorn's 'Voices of a Generation' ! A public speaking competition bringing together Year 9–12 students from local schools
Their inspirational speeches answered the following questions:
•What kind of digital future do you want young people to inherit?
•What is your advice to politicians on behalf of future generations?

Our CEO, Michelle Jobson, was honoured to sit on the panel alongside:
Wes Gault, Mayor of Boroondara
Bronte Neyland, Deputy Vice Chancellor at Swinburne
John Pesutto, Local MP for Hawthorn.
Each panel member generously shared their own leadership journey with the students.

As an extra surprise, Professor Matthew Bailes took us on an incredible 3D journey through the planets of the universe.

It was a morning of celebration for our future leaders. A powerful opportunity to hear from the young people who will shape tomorrow.

A huge thank you to John Pesutto and Swinburne University for hosting such an inspiring event! 🌌✨
