🎄Happy holidays from the Mission Possible crew! 🎄

This year, we’re proud to have delivered our monthly Energy Advisory Service and hosted panel discussions that allowed us to connect with and support members of the community.

Our group will be taking a short break during the festive season, but we have so many exciting new initiatives planned for 2026, so stay tuned!

Last month, our members joined the Heaps Good COP31 Gathering kick-off event which united leaders, changemakers, and community voices from all walks of life. Together, we developed a vision, established the aims and explored ideas to co-design and activate a meaningful COP31.

While it’s still undecided whether Adelaide will host COP31, our group remains committed to being part of this powerful movement and to helping make it a lasting one.

To everyone joining the monthly Heaps Good Gathering, we’re also excited to connect, collaborate, and keep the momentum going! 🌏🌱

A big thank you to Cr Katriona Kinsella - Councillor for Hindmarsh Ward - Charles Sturt for inviting our group to learn more about the Central Adelaide Waste Recycling and Circular Economy Strategy 2025–2030, as well as the initiatives led by the Central Adelaide Waste and Recycling Authority (CAWRA). It was a very informative session! ♻️🌱

We also had the opportunity to connect with inspiring local groups including the Bowden Brompton Repair Cafe, Sustainable West and Adelaide Bike Kitchen Community and discover how they’re driving the circular economy in our community.

🌱🌳 Here’s a recap of what our group has been up to in the community recently:

1. Joining the Henley Dunes Care Group at their planting and maintenance day. The Henley Care Group are an amazing and dedicated team of volunteers working to preserve and enhance the Henley dunes

2. Presented at the Prospect Local Environment Group - PLEG community forum alongside the City of Mitcham’s ‘Home Energy Helpers’ on our journey of creating the Energy Advisory Service.

3. In June, we joined The Herb Society of South Australia Inc
to present the work of Mission Possible and connect on shared interests.

We’re keen to connect and be involved with more community groups! 😊

Read about the success story below ⬇️

When John’s old gas hot water system reached the end of its life after 15 years, he contacted Mission Possible for advice on going electric. ⚡️

We helped John find the right product and service to install a 250L electric hot water system with a built-in timer, allowing him to fully utilise his existing 3.6 kWp solar system. The timer, installed in the switchboard, heats water between 10 am and 2 pm during peak solar generation, enabling him to reduce grid reliance, lower electricity bills, and make the most of renewable energy at home.

We’re proud to support community members like John in their journey to electrify and save.
