Today some of the members of Blue Light Browns Plains Branch proudly attended the City of Logan Volunteers Breakfast 2026.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing volunteers for the valuable support, time, and dedication they give to our branch and the local community. Our events and programs would not be possible without the hard work of our volunteers behind the scenes and at every event.

What a start to the BLUE EDGE program at Sacred Heart, Sandgate! 💙

An outstanding group of young people beginning their EDGE journey together. Over the next 8 weeks, students will train twice a week, building fitness, resilience and teamwork skills alongside local Queensland Police officers.

It’s fantastic to see such positive community connections already being formed, with students encouraging each other and stepping up as a team from day one.

Looking forward to seeing the growth, friendships and achievements that come from the journey ahead! 💪👏

Excited to see the BLUE EDGE program officially underway at Thuringowa SHS! 💙

Delivered through QLD Blue Light Association, BLUE EDGE (Educate, Develop, Grow & Empower) is an early intervention program that combines physical training, mentoring and life skills education to help young people build confidence, resilience and positive relationships.

Over the coming weeks, students will take part in fitness sessions, teamwork activities, guest speakers and mentoring opportunities designed to challenge and support them both physically and mentally. The program also promotes healthy lifestyles, goal setting and stronger community connections.

Looking forward to seeing this group grow, challenge themselves and make the most of the opportunities ahead! 👏💪

🌿 Final EDGE Day Adventure – Emu Gully 🌿

What an incredible way to wrap up the Blue EDGE program for the St Joseph’s Stanthorpe crew! 💪🔥

Our Final EDGE Day took us to the unforgettable experience at Emu Gully Adventure Education — and it did not disappoint!

From the moment we arrived, students were challenged, pushed outside their comfort zones, and supported every step of the way through a range of powerful, hands-on adventure activities. From teamwork-based challenges to resilience-building tasks inspired by real historical campaigns, every moment was about stepping up, working together, and giving it a go 💯

The day was filled with:
🔥 Team-building challenges
🔥 Problem-solving activities
🔥 Leadership and communication exercises
🔥 Physical and mental challenges that built resilience and confidence

Through it all, students showed courage, mateship, and determination — exactly what the EDGE program is all about 👏

Emu Gully creates an environment where young people grow through adventure, building confidence, independence, and strong connections with their peers

We’re so proud of this group and everything they’ve achieved over the program — finishing strong with an epic day of challenge, teamwork, and fun 💥

We're thrilled to give our rural young people the lowdown on sheep shearing and farm management at the Blue Light Shearing program, because who doesn't want to learn how to shear a sheep in 10 easy steps. 🐏

These young folk attended the camp to master the fundamentals of shearing, wool sorting and pressing as part of their Cert II in Rural Operations.

Thanks to TAFE Queensland, Queensland Police Service members Laurie, Jacko, Chelsea and Destiny, Dunwold Farm and Charleville, St George, Cunnamulla and Dirranbandi High schools for your dedication and commitment to the Qld Blue Light Shearing program.
