ESCR is a leading European professional organisation dedicated to cardiovascular radiology.

Our society assembles all professionals interested in cardiovascular imaging. ESCR - European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology - is an apoliticial, non profit association, dedicated to the promotion, advance and education of cardiac imaging. The ESCR Annual Scientific Meetings are the most remarkable and visible forms of our activities. Around 500 participants from Europe, Asia, Australia, Afri

ca, North and South America attends yearly the ESCR Annual Congress, indicating vivid interest of medical professionals in cardiac imaging. We have very good relationships with other international Societies, working in the field of cardiac radiology. We are very glad that NASCI (North American Society of Cardiac Imaging) and ASCI (Asian Society of Cardiac Imaging) are our partners. Our Society is very interested in attracting young radiologists and radiographers into cardiac radiology. ESCR has a Young Abstract Presenter Programme (YAPP) which helps younger doctors to present their abstracts at the ESCR meetings with support from the Society and congress fee waived. Furthermore, ESCR has a partnership with the European School of Radiology (ESOR). Thanks to this cooperation a cardiac fellowship programme has been created. It allows doctors from Europe to visit and spend time in accredited teaching centers. This programme is now in its fifth year and it is encouraging to see that doctors who have been through this programme are now in positions to help develop cardiac radiology in Europe. Addtionally the European Board of Cardiovascular Radiology (EBCR) installed the European Board of Cardiovascular Radiology (EBCR) Diploma, endorsed by ESR. The EBCR Diploma confirms specific competence of radiologists to perform, interpret and report cardiac CT and MR independently. Our Society is very grateful to its industry partners for their valuable support to the society, annual congresses and other activities. The European Board of Cardiovascular Radiology (EBCR) Diploma is a common European qualification in cardiovascular radiology, which helps to standardise training and expertise in Cardiovascular Radiology across Europe.

The EBCR Diploma confirms specific competence of radiologists to perform, interpret and report cardiovascular CT and MR independently. The EBCR Diploma will assist cardiovascular radiologists in the promotion of their skills and experience in cardiovascular radiology when dealing with other clinical colleagues and with the public.

The European Board of Cardiovascular Radiology (EBCR) Diploma is endorsed by the European Society of Radiology (ESR). The EBCR Diploma equals a final level III subspecialty examination.
