Why accessible air travel is personal to our Founder and President, Michele Erwin.
“I founded All Wheels Up in 2011 after traveling with my son, Greyson, who has SMA, and experiencing firsthand the barriers of flying with a wheelchair. What began as a mother determined to find a safer, more dignified way for her son to fly grew into a mission to create change for millions of travelers with disabilities.
For far too many people, air travel still means damaged wheelchairs, inaccessible seating, communication barriers, and sacrificing independence and dignity just to fly.
That’s why National Accessible Air Travel Day is so important to me. It’s an opportunity to raise our voices, share our experiences, and show why accessible air travel matters.
Today, I encourage you to join us by sharing why accessible air travel is important to you. Every story and every voice helps move us closer to a future where everyone can fly safely, independently, and with dignity.”
