Grateful. Proud. Ready for 2026! 🤩🇪🇺
As we wrap up 2025, we want to say a huge thank you to all our members, partners, and followers for the trust and energy you’ve put into our NGO.🤩

This year, we engaged with emerging professionals and recent graduates from Europe and beyond, reaching thousands of young people through policy work, conferences, summer schools, and institutional visits — growing a truly international youth-led policy community. 🌐

📈 Key milestones included the Brussels Security Bootcamp, delivered in partnership with the European Economic and Social Committee and, for the first time for our NGO, under the patronage of the European Parliament. 🇪🇺🤝

🎙️We also contributed to the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Warsaw Human Dimension Conference 2025 with a side event placing children’s rights and participation at the centre of discussions on democracy and resilience.

🤝 At the EU level, our policy and advocacy work has been particularly intense and fruitful. The ENVI focus group has been engaging at increasingly high levels with the European Commission, with important developments emerging from recent exchanges — including our meeting with Commissioner Roswall on 8 December at the Water Resilience Forum, where our NGO was recognised as a key stakeholder (stay tuned for our upcoming report).💧🌱 In parallel, the work of our SEDE group, together with DROI and AFET, has continued to strengthen our cross-cutting policy impact and institutional presence.

🚀 New partnerships, new opportunities, and new initiatives are ahead.

➡️ Join us and be part of what comes next. 📈

Europe’s unity is forged in Ukraine’s recovery. 🇪🇺🤝 The devastation brought by Russia’s full-scale invasion has tested not only Ukraine’s resilience but also Europe’s collective resolve. Amid destruction, a process of renewal has emerged — one that rebuilds not only infrastructure, but also institutions, communities, and hope.

📝 Our new policy paper, “Ukraine’s Resilience: From Destruction to Reconstruction”, by Costanza Allegri, Giusy Ciccarrelli, and Sofiia Semeniaka, edited by Anastasiia Todoruk, explores how Ukraine’s recovery is inseparable from the values that define Europe itself. It highlights how the social dimension, decentralisation reforms, and economic renewal form the backbone of a reconstruction rooted in inclusion, accountability, and shared progress.

From the protection of children and vulnerable groups to the empowerment of local authorities and sustainable development, Ukraine’s reconstruction is reshaping the very idea of resilience — turning suffering into transformation, and recovery into integration.

Europe’s future is being rebuilt today — in Ukraine.

Are you a participant of the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference 2025? 🌍 If so, we warmly invite you to join our side event “Children at the Centre: Advancing Democracy Throughout Childhood.”

This event will highlight how protecting children is key to strengthening democratic systems. Through interactive exchanges, interviews with speakers, and contributions gathered from civil society and young people, we will explore the OSCE’s role in safeguarding human rights and advancing inclusive democracies. Special attention will also be given to the situation of children in Ukraine and the challenges they face across the OSCE area.

If you hold a participant badge, don’t miss this opportunity to engage, share your views, and be part of the debate on how children can truly stand at the centre of democracy and peacebuilding.

The first day of the Warsaw Security Forum 2025 reminded us that Europe cannot afford complacency. From the weaponisation of propaganda by Russia to the urgent need for stronger transatlantic cooperation, the message was clear: delay only strengthens our adversaries.

We heard Georgia firmly rejecting the idea that it has “lost,” Montenegro’s EU path framed as a credibility test for the Union, and urgent calls not to repeat the mistakes once made in the Balkans. Yet, one obstacle stood out across the debates: Hungary’s veto politics, slowing down support for Ukraine and enlargement, and raising the uncomfortable question — is Hungary today Europe’s biggest danger from within?

Proposals such as “28 by 2028” underlined enlargement as a strategic necessity, while discussions on drones, weapons, and rapid support for Ukraine reinforced that the frontlines of this war are Europe’s frontlines too.

Alongside policymakers and experts, our delegation — including Daria Golosniak and Juliana Bakhtsizina — is following these debates closely to ensure youth voices remain connected to Europe’s most pressing security challenges.

This September, Warsaw will become the stage for an intensive five-day journey into European security and crisis diplomacy. From 16 to 20 September 2025, the “EU Security: Responding to Crises in a Fragmented World” Summer School will bring together young professionals, postgraduate students, and emerging leaders from across Europe to explore how the EU and its partners respond to the most pressing threats of our time.

In a world where hybrid and cyber warfare, nuclear governance, energy resilience, and geopolitical competition increasingly shape the international order, understanding the dynamics of crisis decision-making is more crucial than ever. Over the course of the programme, participants will take part in a high-level European Council crisis simulation, engage in in-depth workshops led by experts in diplomacy and security, and visit institutions at the heart of Europe’s security architecture, including Frontex and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

Warsaw, with its strategic location and active role in European foreign policy, offers the perfect setting for this immersive experience. By combining rigorous academic input with practical simulations and professional networking, the Summer School equips participants not only with knowledge, but with the skills and connections needed to contribute meaningfully to Europe’s security and resilience.

Applications are now open, but only for a few more days. If you are ready to challenge yourself, engage with peers from across the continent, and experience diplomacy in action, this is the moment to apply.
