Body, Voices, and matter

Creative workshop led by Kamayama Company (Miguinti Mandala and Linda Vellar)Open to all levels, from beginners to professionals, this two-hour session serves as a dedicated space for artistic research, designed to spark creativity through individual and group improvisation.Our bodies, our voices (ranging from pure sound to spoken word and text), and matter—represented by objects chosen by the participants—will become the primary tools of inquiry. The emotional context will serve as our compass for composition: we will begin with the pure gesture in its essence to observe the emotion it yields. Vice versa, we will explore the boundary between the intimate and the public, transforming personal memory into a vivid symbolic and performative manifestation.This workshop is an experimental journey that weaves together classic theatrical exercises, the profound evocations of Butoh dance, and the unique artistic language of the company.

Participants should come with an object they like or an object they use in their performance.

No prerequisites are required to participate, other than psychophysical openness and a genuine willingness to put oneself on the line.
