As part of our Nature for Peace project, we proudly planted a tree at our office today. This small but meaningful action reflects our commitment to peace, care for the environment, and community wellbeing. We are grateful to our partners for providing the space that made this possible. Mwana Trust Director Attends ECOZI Provincial Chapter Meeting in Manicaland*

The Director of Mwana-Child's Hope Zimbabwe attended the Provincial Chapter Meeting of the Education Coalition of Zimbabwe (ECOZI), held on 22 April 2026 at the ZIMTA offices. The meeting brought together ECOZI provincial members, NGO representatives, teacher unions, the Zimbabwe Teachers Association, a representative from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, and the Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ).

The meeting focused on updating members on first quarter 2026 activities, planning for the Global Action Week for Education (GAWE), and preparations for the opening of schools for the second term. A key issue discussed at length was the alarming rise in drug and substance abuse in schools, with stakeholders calling for stronger collaboration and urgent action to protect learners.

This week we partnered with the Department of Social Development to support two infants in Mutare who lost their mothers during the breastfeeding stage.

NAN baby milk formula was donated for immediate distribution to their caregivers, helping ensure the babies receive proper nutrition.

This intervention reflects our commitment to protecting every child’s right to survival, care, and development. Together, through strong partnerships, we can continue to support vulnerable children in our communities.

Our Peace Club activities continue to make a meaningful impact across the schools we work with 🤝✨

Children are actively engaged, learning positive values, and staying productively involved through these sessions. What’s even more encouraging is the feedback from teachers—who spend the most time with them—highlighting noticeable improvements in behaviour, cooperation, and respect among learners.

“Peace begins with the little things we teach our children every day.” 🌱

We are proud to see these young minds growing into responsible and compassionate individuals.

MasterPeace Zimbabwe – Building Peace in Our Schools and Communities

Yesterday, we visited Rock of Ages High School, where our Young Ambassadors Club engaged in a powerful session on peace. We discussed the causes of conflict, ways to manage it, and how we can create safe, bullying-free environments in schools and communities.

Together, we can inspire a generation that chooses peace.

📚 International Day of Education | 24 January 2026 📚

At Mwana Trust (Child’s Hope), we believe that education is not just a right, but a powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty and building peaceful, resilient communities.

Today, as the world commemorates the International Day of Education, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every child—especially the most vulnerable—has access to quality, inclusive, and equitable education. Through our programs, we continue to support children and young girls with learning opportunities, life skills, mentorship, and advocacy for child rights.

Education gives hope.
Education unlocks potential.
Education builds a better future for our children and our nation.

Let us work together—communities, partners, parents, and stakeholders—to leave no child behind.

✨ Invest in education. Invest in the future. ✨

✨ Calm Hearts Peace Club — Promoting Inner Peace at Dangamvura High School! ✨

The Calm Hearts Peace Club at Dangamvura High School was thrilled to participate in our recent session on mindfulness, self-awareness, and self-care as pathways to inner peace. 💫

The students actively engaged — sharing their thoughts, asking insightful questions, and reflecting deeply on how peace begins from within.

We also enjoyed a fun peace-building game called “Memory Run”, which filled the room with laughter and smiles! The activity reminded everyone that teamwork, joy, and mindfulness go hand in hand. #
