πŸ“šβœ¨ Exam Season at One of Our Beneficiary Schools! βœ¨πŸ“š
Right now, our kids are hard at work, pens down, heads up, giving it their absolute best as they sit their end-of-term exams. It's beautiful to see how seriously they're taking this moment, determined to show everything they've learned this term. πŸ’ͺ

Exam time is a special season for these children, a chance to prove to themselves just how far they've come.
As Mwana Child's Hope, we are so proud of each and every one of them. We wish them all the best of luck and pray that they come out with pleasing marks that reflect their hard work and dedication! πŸ€πŸ“–
Go get it, champs! We believe in you! πŸ™ŒπŸ’š

Mwana Child’s Hope was honored to participate in the NANGO Regional NGO Expo and Winter School held from 16–17 July 2026 in Manicaland. The vibrant event brought together various NGOs, creating a valuable platform for networking, learning, and collaboration.

Our team engaged with fellow organizations, shared experiences, and took part in activities such as blood pressure monitoring. The expo also provided free medical check-ups, health education, human rights awareness, and discussions on peace and substance abuse prevention.

From Grief to Greatness: How One Boy Turned Loss into a Thriving Workshop!!!

Every success story begins with a challenge β€” and Brighton's began with one of the hardest a child can face. On 5 August 2007, 11-year-old Brighton Munengu lost his father β€” a dedicated volunteer who had worked hand in hand with Mwana Child's Hope on a kitchen project at Mt Dangare. Cruelly, it was the same day as his school's prize-giving day, turning celebration into heartbreak.
Rather than let this tragedy derail his future, Mwana Child's Hope stepped in, supporting Brighton through his final year of primary school in 2008. That support carried him through Zimunya Secondary School, and on to Mutare Polytechnic in 2015, where he trained in panel beating, spray painting, and welding. By 2017, he had completed his studies β€” and opened his own workshop, where he now runs a thriving, self-employed business in panel beating, spray painting, and arc and gas welding.

Brighton remains deeply grateful to Mwana Child's Hope, whose compassion and consistency turned a devastating loss into a foundation for lasting resilience. We also thank our partners and donors, whose generosity makes stories like his possible β€” proof of what community and commitment can build together. Youths By Youths - FYBY

πŸŒ„βœ¨ In the cold, misty morning of the Eastern Highlands, we had the honor of welcoming the Senior Management team from the National Zimbabwe AIDS Network (ZAN) to our office for a Membership Support Visit! As a proud full member of ZAN, we engaged in an insightful one-hour discussion that was both fruitful and inspiring.

Thank you, ZAN Secretariat, for your invaluable support and commitment to strengthening our collective efforts in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Together, we can make a difference! πŸ’ͺπŸ’™

Mwana Trust Director Attends ECOZI Provincial Chapter Meeting in Manicaland*

The Director of Mwana-Child's Hope Zimbabwe attended the Provincial Chapter Meeting of the Education Coalition of Zimbabwe (ECOZI), held on 22 April 2026 at the ZIMTA offices. The meeting brought together ECOZI provincial members, NGO representatives, teacher unions, the Zimbabwe Teachers Association, a representative from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, and the Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ).

The meeting focused on updating members on first quarter 2026 activities, planning for the Global Action Week for Education (GAWE), and preparations for the opening of schools for the second term. A key issue discussed at length was the alarming rise in drug and substance abuse in schools, with stakeholders calling for stronger collaboration and urgent action to protect learners.
