We were yesterday opportuned to attend the close of the 16 Days of Activism against GBV campaign held at Chief Sipatunyana's palace in kalomo District, which was running from 25th November 2025.

Key among the attendees of the close included Kalomo District Commissioner Joshua Sikaduli who called for an increased number of safe houses to protect survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV)

Southern Province Principal Gender Officer Doreen Chingobe and his Royal highness, Chief Sipatunyana of Kalomo District were also in attendance.

OpenNet For All Zambia was well represented at the Africa Forward social summit , an official side event.

Our Executive Director joined a high level panel discussion joined by representatives from the World Economic Forum, African Union, Nigerian Philanthropy Foundation and Catalyst Now.

We echoed the importance of inclusive financing and linkage to opportunities for underserved communities and highlighted the importance of digital inclusion of rural youth entrepreneurs.

Join our final exhibition of our joint collaborative project " Tech Connect - Empowering Youths To Be Global Citizens "

This project has been implemented in Zambia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Nigeria and Bangladesh with support from the Bangladesh UNESCO office.

The project has enabled digital collaboration and fostered global citizenship and learning among young people from different countries.

In a bid to fight climate change and support nutrion in schools, OpenNet4.0 Zambia is glad to announce that we have secured a variety of tree nurseries.

We are therefore inviting Schools that may be interested in setting up school tree orchards.

We are also calling forth on farmers who have arable land and may be willing to plant trees for land fertility including setting up tree plantations.

Interested schools and farmers must therefore -:
-Be committed to ensuring the trees are well taken care of and they grow
-Ensure they have a nearby water source that supplies adequate water
-Have establised school clubs (applies for schools only)
-Have a piece of land of field where the trees will be planted(applies to farmers only)
