Flashes of light and loud noises from fireworks can be very frightening for our pets. Follow our checklist for ideas to keep your cat calm and safe. You can find more advice here: http://spr.ly/FireworksAdvice 💜

There's never been a better time to declutter - every item donated raises vital funds to help cats!

Right now, we’d love donations of ladies’ & men’s jumpers, coats, and shirts.

A shirt that sells for £5 could microchip two kittens, off to new homes.

A £10 coat could give flea and worming treatment to an abandoned or stray cat.

Have a sort-out, pop by, and turn your wardrobe into hope for cats.

🐈‍⬛ National Black Cat Day!

27 October

National Black Cat Day was created by Cats Protection on 27 October 2011 to help celebrate the majesty of monochrome moggies and beautiful black cats. When the campaign was launched, statistics revealed that black and black-and-white cats took, on average, seven days longer to find a home compared to cats of other colours.

🖤 Years later, we’re still celebrating black cats in all their glory - although our campaigning has now paid off! Black and black-and-white cats now spend less time in our care than when we started promoting the campaign, resulting in thousands of happy cats and owners.

🗓️ National Black Cat Day 27 October brings monochrome moggies into the spotlight, showing that they have just as many head bumps and purrs to give as their colourful counterparts.
