On Saturday, 29 August three of our Stillwater Kids were blessed with a single bed and mattress each! As Thys du Plessis, one of our volunteers said: "a child deserves a warm bed to sleep in."

Thys' friend, Johan Punt of Arms and Legs Adventures was the kind donator of the beds. Johan, we do not have words enough to thank you! To these children a bed is a luxury and you made their (and our) hearts very happy - THANK YOU! ๐Ÿ™

Thys and Johan asked that we also thank Enrico, one of our kids who helped with navigation, off-loading and addresses and helping to drop off of dog food too! Dankie Enrico!

A little kindness goes a very long way and Stillwater Kids remain so thankful for each and every gesture that helps improve the lives of our children.

At Stillwater Kids we play hard, but we also work hard. Our monthly outdoor therapy session is filled with lots of playtime fun for the kids, but we also make time to talk and sit together to share feelings.โšฝ๏ธ๐ŸฅŽ๐ŸŠโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿซ‚

And at our weekly therapy sessions in Melkhoutfontein tannie Cobie puts a lot of love and attention into the TRE treatments and teachings. Her love for the children is tangible and the change in them is phenominal. ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธโค๏ธ

Stillwater Kids is a registered NPO & PBO and able to issue Section 18A tax certificates.๐Ÿ“„ If you or or your business therefor make a financial contribution towards therapy or mental health sessions at Stillwater Kids your donation can significantly lower your personal or corporate tax liability.

We're on a mission to empower underprivileged kids (ages 7-11) from underprivileged backgrounds with fun social activities, water sports, mental wellness support, and life skills guidance.๐Ÿค—

This year-long program fights drug abuse, abuse and crime at the root - by healing childhood trauma and breaking negative cycles.

๐Ÿšซ Registered NPO Stillwater Kids was started in 2023 right here in Stilbaai, Western Cape and we meet monthly on Saturdays:

๐ŸŠโ€โ™‚๏ธ Summer: Paddle- & swimming lessons
โšฝ Winter: Beach sports & motivational talks
Our Saturday sessions have two key parts:
๐ŸŒ€Thrilling sports
๐ŸŒ€Targeted mental wellness sessions
โž•Plus, every child gets a nutritious meal!๐Ÿฅ—

The second part of the program is weekly tension & trauma therapy sessions and equine therapy.

Stillwater Kids had the most amazing day on Saturday, 15 August '26! A day of laughter, learning and togetherness.๐Ÿซถ

We started the morning with a walk in the Skulpiesbaai Nature Reserve and "forest" and pretended we were in Knysna! We had a swim in the clear emerald water near the Visvywers and made many new discoveries along the way. It was a "wanderfull" time indeed!

Thank you to our volunteers who joined and made sure the children had a great time and stayed safe.
