🚮 New Wooden Bins for Sabie🚮

✨ You may have noticed our lovely new wooden bins at the White River and Graskop Road entrances to Sabie.

💚A huge thank‑you to Aslam Bhikhoo for donating these to Sabie P.R.I.D.E, and to Denzil Lawrie for the initiative that made it happen. 👏

‼️Please Note:

❗️These bins are NOT for household bags or garden refuse.
❗️They are meant for pedestrians and commuters waiting for lifts to dispose of their litter responsibly.

🚮Let’s use them wisely and keep our entrances clean and welcoming!

🚮 Help Keep Our Streets Clean 🚮

We’ve noticed a growing problem with refuse bags being put out too early for collection. This often leads to bags being torn open by dogs or recyclers — leaving litter scattered across our town.

✳️Here’s how we can all help:

• 🕢 Put bags out in the morning — collections start at 07h30, so please avoid leaving them out overnight.
• ♻️ Separate recyclable items — this ensures the whole bag can be taken away without being ripped open.

Together, these small steps make a big difference in keeping our community clean, safe, and proud. 💚🌍

The idea that throwing rubbish on the ground creates work for someone else is a harmful misconception. Dirty streets, beaches, parks and natural areas drive tourists away.

When fewer people visit, local shops, restaurants, accommodation providers, guides and tourism businesses lose income. Over time, working hours are cut, businesses struggle, and jobs disappear.

Cleaning up litter also costs money that could have been used to improve communities, maintain public spaces or support local services.

🌍 Keep it clean. Protect tourism. Protect livelihoods.
