Heads up, Lanseria community!

On Wednesday, 25 March 2026 from 10:00, Lanseria Fire and Rescue and other emergency responders will be conducting a crash-landing simulation at the airport.

You may see fire trucks, flashing lights, smoke and hear sirens. Don't be alarmed! This is a scheduled training exercise to keep our first responders sharp and our airport safe.

✈️ Normal flight schedules are NOT affected. Your flight is still on time, so don't miss it!

𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲: 19 March 2026.

𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Bert Close , Helderkruin

*Incident Report*

ECSA responded to reports of a vehicle fire in Bert Close, Helderkruin.

Upon arrival on scene, it was established that one vehicle was alight. Members immediately initiated fire suppression operations, successfully containing and extinguishing the fire.

Swift action ensured that no further damage occurred to the surrounding property or nearby vehicles.

Date: 2 February 2026

Location: Belladonna, Roodekrans

ECSA members responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident (MVA).

Upon arrival, members found that it was a two-vehicle collision, with one of the vehicles having crashed through a wall.

Fortunately, no injuries were found and no patients required transportation to hospital.

𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: Gas Bottle Fire

𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲: 04 March 2026.

𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The Highway Road Florida.

Incident Report

ECSA members responded to a call for assistance regarding a gas cylinder that had caught fire inside a residential property.

Upon arrival, ECSA members immediately implemented road closures and ensured overall scene safety.

A COJ RIV & Fidelity Secure Fire unit arrived within minutes and successfully contained the fire by closing the gas cylinder valve.

Fortunately, no structural damage was sustained. The homeowner acted swiftly by placing a wet towel over the cylinder, which helped prevent the fire from spreading further.

Upon arrival members immediately established scene safety allowing medics to assess all patients.

Multiple patients with various injuries were transported to hospital for further care.

Members later cleared all debris from the road allowing traffic to flow freely.
