We were honoured to have Many Moore join us at our Industry night in Durban, bringing their sound and expression into a gathering of artists, musicians, storytellers and dreamers from across South Africa.

We believe in creating spaces where diverse voices can meet, share, develop and be heard. Where the old skool meets the new skool, and every artist carries the story forward in their own way.

Connected by culture. United by creativity.

Go check out the full performance on our YouTube channel. Link in bio.

Dr Madala Kunene honoured our invitation to sit in conversation with the next generation of contemporary folk artists at our Industry Night in Durban.

Let us foster exchanges between generations. Let us commune, sharing stories, knowledge and lived experiences.

Legacy is a living archive, carried forward through the voices, sounds and stories of those who come after us.

We’ve taken time to consider what we want this next chapter to be. The answer is greater depth. More time to develop. More room for different disciplines and different voices. More meaningful ways to connect the FOLK with the LORE. The curation is taking on its own journey and timeline.

Stay tuned.

Hello Spring, Hello Heritage Month. Our season of focus as the folklore Community. With our main festival moving to a different time of the year, we want to use this season to reflect on our shared legacy work over the last 6 years of Folklore Festival.

What you can expect are highlights of moments past; podcasts & performances. And considered intimate gatherings to continue to commune in dialogue and cultural expression.

Stay tuned for more curation that cultivates culture.

As we begin the process of reconnecting with the talent and the communities we connected with on our roadshow…We want to pause and say to the both new and old…THANK YOU for your patronage and belief in this platform we are trying to build for all of us. Stay tuned and plugged in as we continue explore the next phase of our ambitions!
