🚨 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE CHARITY SHOP! 🚨

The boxes are EMPTY. 😳
The sorting rooms are EMPTY. 😳
The passages are CLEAR. 😳

And there is… NOTHING LEFT TO CLEAN!

So naturally… two of our fairy volunteers 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️ did what any perfectly normal person would do…
THEY STARTED PLAYING HOUSE! 🤣

Suddenly they’re not volunteers anymore — they’re interior designers! 🛋️🪴🪞

“Move that there.”
“No, no… turn it around.”
“Wait! That looks better over here!”😂🤷‍♀️

Who knew an empty charity shop could turn into The Block: Highway Hospice Edition?! 🏠🤭

But seriously… this is your little reminder to have a look around your home. 👀

That cupboard you haven’t opened in 2 years?
The box you keep moving from one room to another?
The things you might use one day… but haven’t touched in forever? 😏
THAT’S THE STUFF WE NEED! ❤️

You don’t need to load a whole bakkie.
Even ONE or TWO boxes can keep our fairies busy unpacking, sorting, cleaning… and apparently decorating! 🥰

So before our volunteers completely run out of things to do and start dressing the customers, putting price tags on the staff, or worse… pricing each other! 😳
HAVE A LITTLE CLEAR-OUT!

The Hospice Course is aimed at teaching participants the following:
• Hospice philosophy.
• The appreciation and need for a directed interdisciplinary team approach to terminal care of a patient.
• To improve listening and communication skills, for personal growth, and to teach you how to take care of and be compassionate towards any patient facing a life-threatening illness.
• To analyse and grow in the understanding of your own needs and attitudes towards dying, death and grief of loved ones and others.
• The course is open to males and females.

COMMENCING
Date: 2 September to 21 October 2026
Time - 08:30 to 13:30
Cost: R850-00
A deposit will secure your seat

The course will run for 8 Wednesdays, with an attendance certificate being awarded to participants on completion. The course is open to Doctors, Counsellors, Community Members, Carers, Pastoral Counsellors, Religious Leaders, Educators, Trainers, Social Workers and any other interested persons.
