🤝 A Successful Visit from DSD! 🌟

We were honoured to welcome the Department of Social Development (DSD) to St Luigi Scrosoppi Care Centre for a visit.

The visit was very successful and provided a valuable opportunity to engage, share updates, discuss our programmes, and strengthen our commitment to serving and supporting the children and community we care for. ❤️

We sincerely thank the DSD team for taking the time to visit us and for their continued support and collaboration. Together, we can continue making a meaningful difference! 🙏✨

Ons was bevoorreg om die Departement van Maatskaplike Ontwikkeling (DSD) by St Luigi Scrosoppi Care Centre te verwelkom vir ’n besoek.

Die besoek was baie suksesvol en het aan ons die geleentheid gebied om te gesels, opdaterings te deel, ons programme te bespreek en ons verbintenis tot die ondersteuning van die kinders en gemeenskap te versterk. ❤️

🏆 Our First Invitation – A Proud Milestone for St. Luigi! ⚽💙

Yesterday marked a special day for St. Luigi as we proudly accepted our very first invitation from Eden Football Club. It was an exciting opportunity for our young players to showcase their talent, teamwork, and determination on the field.

Our U13 team played against De Villiers Primary School and Oudtshoorn Tygers, finishing the day with one win and one draw—a fantastic achievement!

Our U11 team played against De Villiers Primary School and Atlético Club, also ending the day with a 1–1 draw and a 1–0 victory! 🎉👏

What a successful first outing! We are incredibly proud of every player for their commitment, sportsmanship, and passion for the game.

A heartfelt thank you to Eden Football Club for the invitation and the wonderful experience. We look forward to many more opportunities to grow, compete, and make our school proud.

🏆 Ons eerste uitnodiging – ’n Trots oomblik vir St. Luigi! ⚽💙

Gister was ’n besondere dag vir St. Luigi toe ons ons eerste uitnodiging van Eden Football Club ontvang het. Dit was ’n wonderlike geleentheid vir ons jong spelers om hul talent, spanwerk en vasberadenheid op die veld te wys.

Ons O/13-span het teen De Villiers Primêre Skool en Oudtshoorn Tygers gespeel en die dag afgesluit met een oorwinning en een gelykopuitslag – ’n uitstekende prestasie!

Ons O/11-span het teen De Villiers Primêre Skool en Atlético Club gespeel en ook uitstekend gevaar met ’n 1–1 gelykopuitslag en ’n 1–0 oorwinning. 🎉👏

Wat ’n fantastiese eerste uitstappie! Ons is ongelooflik trots op elke speler vir hul harde werk, spangees en sportmangees.

Baie dankie aan Eden Football Club vir die uitnodiging en die gasvryheid. Ons sien uit na nog baie sulke geleenthede om te groei, mee te ding en St. Luigi met trots te verteenwoordig.

With their boots laced, equipment packed, and hearts full of determination, they are ready to represent St Luigi with pride, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support our young athletes. Your encouragement gives them the confidence to dream big and play their best.

🎉💙 WAT ’N FANTASTIESE DAG BY ST LUIGI! 💙🎉

Vandag was ons harte behoorlik vol toe die leerders van Langenhoven Gimnasium hul gemeenskapsdiens by St Luigi kom doen het! 🌟

Met groot glimlagte en oop harte het hulle ons kinders met heerlike kos bedien, gehelp met skoolwerk, saam gespeel en die sportveld met energie, entoesiasme en uitstekende sportmanskap gevul. ⚽📚🍽️

Dit was soveel meer as net gemeenskapsdiens – dit was ’n dag gevul met liefde, omgee, lag en kosbare herinneringe. Julle het elke kind spesiaal laat voel en gewys hoe ’n klein daad van vriendelikheid ’n groot verskil kan maak.

💙 Baie dankie, Langenhoven Gimnasium! Julle het vandag nie net tyd gegee nie, maar ook hoop, vreugde en inspirasie. Ons waardeer elke oomblik wat julle saam met ons kinders deurgebring het en sien uit daarna om julle weer by St Luigi te verwelkom!

Our hearts are full after welcoming the amazing learners from Langenhoven Gimnasium, who spent the day with us as part of their community service! 🌟

With kindness, compassion, and joyful hearts, they served meals to our children, helped with schoolwork, played games, and filled our sports field with laughter, energy, and wonderful sportsmanship. ⚽📚🍽️

Today was about so much more than community service—it was a day filled with love, friendship, encouragement, and unforgettable memories. Every smile shared and every act of kindness reminded us of the incredible impact young people can have when they choose to serve others.

Today at St Luigi, our children enjoyed an afternoon filled with laughter, games, and endless energy. From soccer matches to running around with friends, every smile reminded us how important it is for children to have the freedom to play, explore, and simply be kids.

Free play encourages creativity, teamwork, confidence, and friendships while creating memories that last a lifetime. We are grateful for every moment we get to spend investing in the happiness and well-being of the children in our care.

Niks klop die vreugde van vrye spel nie! ⚽🏃‍♀️💙

Vandag het ons kinders by St Luigi ’n heerlike middag van vrye spel geniet. Van sokkerwedstryde tot hardloop, lag en speel saam met vriende – elke glimlag herinner ons daaraan hoe belangrik dit is dat kinders die geleentheid kry om net kinders te wees.

Vrye spel help kinders om hul kreatiwiteit, selfvertroue, spanwerk en sosiale vaardighede te ontwikkel, terwyl hulle kosbare herinneringe skep.

Ons is dankbaar vir elke oomblik waarin ons kan belê in die geluk en welstand van die kinders in ons sorg.

Before the school bell rings and a new term begins, we were delighted to welcome our wonderful friends from Cango Wildlife back to House Luigi.

Their visit brought smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments of connection as they spent quality time with our children. Opportunities like these create lasting memories and remind our children that they are valued, supported, and loved by their community.
