This term, instead of going out for job training, our seniors had to learn about managing their time, working as a team, prioritizing the work on their to do list and problem solving.

Noel, Beyogen, Lwando and Lee have done incredibly well. Every Monday they walk around the facility and grounds making a maintenance list based on necessary repairs, their suggested improvements and general upkeep.

Its been wonderful to see the teamwork, their ability to manage their time and that they can work hard even though they arent being facilitated or monitored during the day.

Well done boys! Proud of you - you are definitely going to be an asset to whichever workplace you join next year.

The Western Cape experienced a huge storm two weeks ago. We had a bit of damage, with the worst being a tree that fell on our new gym.

It took a while to figure out how to get it off without causing more damage, every tree feller that came to see us, told us that we would lose the gym. We prayed as we needed a miracle.

Then... thank you to De K**k Towing for bringing their big truck and pulling the tree into the road, free from the gym and without causing any more damage to it.

Thank you to Ward Councilor Jonathan Smith for organizing Eskom and the Traffic Department.

With the assistance of the community and even our seniors helping to manage the traffic, we had a very successful tree removal. We are incredibly grateful.🙏

We had a lovely visit from one of our graduates this week.

Petrus has been working at Elgin Agri-Bin since 2025 for the past 8 months. He works on the assembly line where they assemble and bolt the 5 parts which make up a fruit bin.
