Clean Trade Voucher Booklets are a meaningful alternative to giving money to car guards or those asking for help.

A booklet contains 10 vouchers for R50, and each voucher can be redeemed for food to the value of R75 at Clean Trade’s Red Container on a Wednesday.

Look at our impact since we began trading. You can be part of the IMPACT! 💚

💚 From September 2024 to March 2026, we have collected 111 286 kg of recyclable materials, excluding non-recyclable waste.

💚 Of this, 44 756 kg were plastic bottles.

💚 A total of 6 210 traders have participated in the programme, with many returning regularly.

💚 Of those served, 59% were women and 41% men.

💚 100% of our traders are unemployed, leaving with food, dignity and often, much more.

The demand remains huge. Clean Trade continues to balance access with capacity to ensure the system remains fair, dignified and sustainable. The need is still massive.

Thank you to all our volunteers, sponsors and donors. Your continued support makes this work possible and keeps Graaff-Reinet cleaner, stronger and more compassionate.

Only 4 paintings remain. ♻️🎨

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity behind this collection of artworks by John Parsons, donated in support of Clean Trade.

Thanks to the kindness of Ros Goodson, these paintings were made available to raise funds for our work, addressing environmental degradation while creating dignified opportunities for those facing unemployment and poverty.

Four pieces are still available.

When you purchase one of these artworks, you’re not simply acquiring a painting. You’re investing in a system that turns waste into value, effort into dignity, and recycling into development.

The works can be viewed at the Graaff-Reinet Tourism Office at 17 Church Street, and enquiries can be directed to the Graaf-Reinet Tourism Office as well.
