We, Yamanje Multi Arts Development Organization, acknowledge and salute the unseen backbone of our arts and entertainment sector.

To the choreographers, musical directors, theatre directors, writers, poets, aerobic coaches, and arts practitioners in every Kasi corner: You may not have reached celebrity status, but your contribution is unmatched. You carry years of skill, training, and discipline — some honed in higher institutions, all proven through sacrifice.

You fund visions from your own pockets. You teach, mentor, and build young artists without expectation of return. You transform hope into movement, words, music, and strength. Piece by piece, you are changing the world.

Your work is quiet, but your impact is permanent. Kasi sees you. The youth you raise will carry your name forward.

You didn’t just “hold sessions”. You showed up. You dedicated your time, your energy, your hearts to these kids when nobody was watching 👏 for showing up every mon/Friday and Saturday even when there are just 4 kids

To these children, you are MORE than facilitators, coaches & directors. You are their guardians. Their role models. Their heroes. The ones who choose arts over violence, discipline over crime, every single day ✊🏾

Mfundo — you surprised us mid-event with your camera, capturing beauty we would’ve missed. You’ve been with Yamanje since the SEF days with Assitej and you never forgot us. That loyalty is rare. Ngiyabonga, bhuti ❤️

This Youth Day succeeded because OF YOU. Not in spite of you. Every step the kids took, every note they sang, every kick in ukugqisha… it had your fingerprints on it.

We would like to extend appreciation to ASSITEJ South Africa for opening Channels and through SEF program the journey and the impact seems to be lighter than before we salute you.
